Don't knock the Jetta down. It's the best selling VW in North America, which makes it one of the most important cars for Volkswagen. Anyway, these are the spy shots of the Jetta Mk6.

I have this feeling it will turn out much better looking than before with only a few differences that will turn out to be huge for the overall looks!

looking forward to see the final car
we have one in our family - a pretty nice ride ... for a vw ;)

This is New Compact Sedan aka 2011 Jetta which will debut next year at a US Auto Show.

NCS is different to all Jetta's before it; this time its not just a Golf with a boot it an all new sedan developed to be independent.

Base of vehicle will most likely comprise of mixture of current Mk5 bits and possibly some Mk4 to keep it competitively priced to fight competition (Corolla etc).

So this is why this prototype is fitted with rear drum brakes?

Oh god I hope rear discs are an option or standard on all but the base trim level. Drum brakes are joke. Then again the Japanese and Koreans used to do it (may still do) on their stripper models. With drum brakes they should finally be able to get that damn base price down dollar for dollar with the Japanese.

Going to be much bigger it seems, interior design isn't a radical change though. Can't wait to see this one, it may be my next car.

I honestly don't think ANY Japanese/Korean company offers drum brakes on any of their cars, at least not in the US anyway.
