Infiniti has announced the G37 luxury sedan will be renamed the Q40 for the 2015 model year.

Available from August this year, the Japanese vehicle will stay on the market until mid-2015, when it will be phased out, as previously announced.

A total of two versions will be offered – the Q40 and the Q40 AWD, with just four exterior colors on the list. The sedan will also be available with only two optional features - the Navigation Plus Package and the Moonroof Package.

There are still no pricing details, but the 2013 G37 was rated at 24,500 EUR (32,950 USD) for the RWD version and 25,690 EUR (34,550 USD) for the AWD modification in the USA. The vehicle will continue to be powered by a V6 3.7-liter engine with 328 PS (241 kW) linked to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
