For Honda, hindsight sucks. It must be truly painful for them to watch Brawn dominate like this. It's like a mother giving up her new born baby to then watch that child grow up to become a prime minister. This is like the Schumi era when one team and one driver completely dominated the grid. Ferrari has done a tremendous job catching up but what ever they or Red Bull do, Brawn does better.
Mclaren most likely want to forget this weekend. One thing they must do this year is to drop Heikki. He's imply not top driver material and Mclaren can't keep depending on Hamilton to gain championship points. Kubica, Vettel and Rosberg are three excellent driver up for a team swap and I can't see why Mclaren would want to clinch on to Heikki for the next season. Signing Vettel would put Mclaren in a favourable position in Germany and might help them retain Mercedes as a partner. But either way Heikki must go, he's had his chances to impress but have yet to do so.
Rubbens need to stop whining about team orders because this weekend we clearly saw that Button is a better driver. Sadly for Vettel everything went completely wrong.
Other than that Monaco 2009 has been an utterly boring engineering parade with zero excitement what so ever. SC wasn't even deployed one. If you excuse I have to go off and yawn for 10 seconds straight.

Yep, unless it rain it's always boring. And it isn't even as bad as it's gonna get (Valencia).
I would honestly eliminate all the street and street like circuits or eliminate their chicanes and resurface them.
The Nouvelle Chicane and the bumps effectually blocked the only overtaking spot.

Very good point. I know that Monaco is a jewel highly resistant to change but if that chicane was redesigned overtaking at Monaco would increase by 25%. Countless of failed attempts were made there. Don't even get me started on Valencia aka the most worthless plot of asphalt ever. What makes Valencia a complete bore is the fact that it's a street circuit but not only that but it's forgiving meaning that both collisions with barriers and overtaking have a very minimal chance of occurring. Just like they did in Barcelona and Bahrain, Brawn trash the field in Valencia. It's a very easy circuit to dominate if engine and aerodynamics of the car works perfectly. Turkey will be yet another Button race weekend unless Massa can make it a 4th one this year.

Congrats to Button and Brawn. I think it was a pretty interesting race, quite a bit of drama, and overtaking, unlike most street racers.
I have no idea whether Ferrari are back or not. Is it due to the fact that Monaco doesn't really show the true potential of the car, or have they really developed?
Otherwise, Button drove a flawless race and didn't put a foot wrong t/out the weekend. It's a deserved win.
I kinda disagree with most ppl saying that it's getting boring with just one team winning. For me, it's a challenge to other teams to actually catch them. I do feel really bad for Kubica and Nick. They really seemed lost.

It's pretty simple. They don't want a top driver to pair with Lewis. They had it in Fred, and we all saw what happened. However, there's massive rumours about Nico coming onboard, but i highly doubt Keke will allow Nico to play 2nd fiddle to Lewis.

Ross Brawn has taken his hat off to the Michael Schumacher-type qualities that have helped Jenson Button emerge as the dominant force in Formula 1 this year.
With Button taking a brilliant last-gasp pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix, Brawn says that although the world championship leader has a different personality to Schumacher, they are showing remarkable similarities in their approach to the job in hand.
"I worked with Michael for 15 years and this is only my second year with Jenson, so it is very difficult to make comparisons," said Brawn.
"They are different types of character, but both are obviously highly talented. And I think this opportunity that Jenson has got has made him focus very hard on what is happening, what it is and why it is happening - so he is similar [to Michael] in that respect."
Brawn acknowledges that Button has upped his work ethic this year – with the Briton claiming earlier this weekend that success has turned him into a 'boring bastard'.
"Any competitive sportsperson, if he gets an opportunity, focuses on that opportunity," explained Brawn. "Of course it is like all of us – when you are at the sharp end and thinking about things, then it is in your thoughts all the time.
"Probably last year to be honest he was glad to forget about it, whereas this year he is enjoying thinking about it. I think both drivers do spend a lot of time discussing things with their engineers away from the track, so it is nice to hear – but it doesn't surprise me because last year he would be glad to forget what is going on. This year is different."
Brawn admitted he thought his team had lost the chance of pole position in the closing stages of qualifying – but that Button once again shocked him with his late effort.
When asked by AUTOSPORT if Button kept surprising him, Brawn said: "He does in a way. He kind of portrays an air of not going to do it, and then he does it. That is the thing that keeps surprising me.
"He just keeps doing it, and up until final qualifying I thought maybe first/second row of the grid, but the car did not look bad in race spec, so we could have an interesting race."

Its so obvious that all of buttons success is down to the car. Button isnt that good a driver, I know his cousin and his cousin has said the same, and look on topgear where how hammy drove just as fast as button in that crappy car but in seriously wet conditions as button did in the dry.
Hammy is a much better driver, as is alonso, kimi and massa.
Button just has by far the best car.

I will give Button more credit because he is the only driver on the grid who has yet to make any mistakes, and his qualifying performance is pretty impressive.
I think Ferrari has finally began to understand their car and unlock more of the car's potential.

Button is still a very well composed driver though. He has managed to drive the car without making any mistakes. On the other hand his skills has yet to be put to the test trough some proper competition, because so far he's just paraded from finish to end without having to work his way through by overtaking cars of comparable performance to his. Hamilton had it similarly as easy in 2007 but in 2008 he truly worked his was through the grid and earned his champion status and have further proved this year that he's top materials.
Next year the grid will be more balanced and then we'll be able to see how good Button is. Because right now the grid is divided into three fields:
1.Brawn
2.The rest
3.Force India
But right now Button has carried out his job well and done what's expected of him as a driver behind the wheel of a top car. I am very eager to see him really battling it out with the two most competitive drivers on the grid, Hamilton and Alonso.

I have to say I'm really impressed with Massa. I was actually rooting for him to win....believe it or not.. You got a real sense of urgency from his driving. He knew what he wanted and he was going for it. Watching him trying to pass Vettel was incredibly exciting.
Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for Hamilton. F%$#@ing Mirabeau..

It's unfortunate that BMW are in a tug of war with themselves. Kubica fought incredibly hard during qualifying constantly trying to lap faster but his car wasn't giving him anything back. There is something seriously wrong with the design of the car and BMW need to try and sort it out fast, especially when they began working on the 2009 well ahead of other teams.
