This might really be it - or a 90% hit. Anyway if this is the real deal it's going to be awsome. Except for those funny LEDs - I personally don't like them, not even when I first saw them on Audi's - it looks like some christmas lights. I'm all in for Xenon that would be fantastic for a fog light :)

Wow where did that come from? I've been expecting something along the lines of a C-class elegance and now I'm just blown away. That looks fantastic.

Let me just say that the battle between the next 5er, E class and A6 is going to be epic. I cannot wait

I wonder if the new E-class will get LED foglights like the current Audi S6 and the Mercedes GLK conceptcar.
In the spyphoto you can see there's white-ish horizontal bar behind the camouflage where usually the foglights should be located.
They have been kind of testing the foglights in which seemed to be dual foglights a la Brabus style, perhaps they were just testing a wide setting of LED's.

The inner headlight unit which sits next to the grille. There's a thing that looks white and shiney and stands vertical, could it be LED as well?
Kind of like the ones that can be found on the Mercedes F700 conceptcar? Anyway I could be wrong though, any thoughts?

He was spot on with the C, CL and S-Class!
I believe these impressions were done about a year before the models came out. I don`t think he would be off with the E so late in the game.;)
Im putting my faith in Huck this time.

It's strange. I have the feeling that this time, Huck and the others have no clue how it will look like. They have the general shape, and are only guessing the details.
The others, like the C, S, CL or GLK, are completely spot on.

Here, the brown one has a completely over-sized grille and wrong decreasing, coupe-ish roof line.
The grey one looks better to my eyes but is equally far (or maybe even more) from the original. The lights are wrong (I think the brown has the right lights), the shutlines of the bonnet are completely off, the roofline is not correct...

And none of the shops have the convex/concave CGT fender.

It means, in all these shops, both front and side are not correct. And as the rear usually is not very spot on... Now that is really strange, isn't it?

I think MB kept the secret on the E-Class and did not furnish Huck any real info.
I don't know what it means: is there a "surprise" in the design? Do MB want to keep it hidden to save the sales of the W211 and to make it appear suddenly uncovered when it will be time, without leakes info or correct PS? But then why shaving all the camo off so suddenly as they did?

there we go:D:D:D

This is the closest thing for me.
However it lacks the pronouncec V-shape of the front, and the grille is not "3D" enough, to discreete, too integrated in the bonnet.

Too much C-Class in it, but it looks good and I love the rear.

Anyway, I think we will have to wait...:eusa_doh:

Benzes are always so ugly in camo, but then turn out perfectly. The rear bumper here on the sedan looks especially awful, not to worry though.

All but gone are the rounded shapes in the body work, front and rear!
The W212 E-Class will possess classic (old-school) boxy square shapes that are still toned.
Once again check out the angles in the C-posts and rooflines, big difference!

The new E-Class is what I call a neo-retro design.

I just notice, these latest photos shows the grill with 4 horizontal bars, while other versions have 3.

Good observing - might be because one is for Avantgarde and the other for Elegance version. This just occured to me - there might be no star in the grill like on the C class but the are going to differ them from each other by number of bars in the grill.

Exactly my thoughts. MB has been doing that for the pre-facelift W211s and the W210, the Avantgarde always get an extra bar on the grill. Looking at the latest photos, the car has the 18inch wheels while the previous photos shows the car with smaller 17 inch wheels.

The car has great proportions so far, but I'm not fond of the rear lights right now. They look a tad weird, but I love the rest of the car.
