i would love the next E to be like that![]()
I agree cawimmer, however you must consider that luxury car designers
are now fighting each other with even more radicle yet sportier "aggressive" designs than their previous generations And thay will take the necessary steps to improve these designs. You and I might think the next E-Class (if it looks like this) is Lexus-like in design but MB would tell you that this is an evolution of the currant design.
I don`t believe the E will be as edgy as the above photo suggests. It will be more toned down like Hucks impression suggest.
And I agree with you, but I still feel that a too close resemblance to a Lexus model will be a bad thing. People might get the impression that Mercedes isn't a design-leader anymore and that should never happen.![]()
I also agree with your statement I highlighted in red.![]()
Thanks!!
Yet another good point. Mercedes must believe in their design and innovatative leadership. The Mercedes-Benz image is something that should be guarded with the utmost respect by the new designers.
The Mercedes design "DNA" is something that should never change.
New to the forum.
With the new MOVE program scheduled for MY 2010 and ongoing discussion regarding V60 or V90 engine layout I’m very skeptical that it could be any new E-class in MY 2009.

I'm afraid that nowadays Mercedes no longer is the leader in innovative designs. Yes they still are in terms of technology and safety, .. but definately not design leadership. ... IMO.
