True. I wonder what they're going to do because Rolls Royce is going to be on a roll once this convertible, that 101EX Coupe and the cheaper sedan hit the market.

Yeah BMW have done very well ...even if I would far sooner own an S class than a 7er.

I guess one could say that Maybach is DCX's Phaeton or Veyron ...although DCX insist they are making a profit with Maybach ...somehow I find that almost impossible to believe.

Re: 2008 Rolls-Royce Convertible

Mercedes brand is still THE brand of automotive world (beside perhaps Rolls-Royce).

So IMO MB should have stuck Mercedes name to every line:

Mercedes Smart - for funky / trendy (like MINI or Scion) but premium cars (not the Smart we know today)
Mercedes Benz - for existing MB line
Mercedes Maybach - fur ultra-luxury cars
Mercedes McLaren - for supercars

Oh hell yeah. It looked quite normal sized in that last pic, but I then realised that white car is a SUV. LOL :D

Photo & movie shooting of new RR Corniche is now over.

Destionations include Dubai (UAE), St. Tropez (France), American Cup port in Valencia (Spain), Viaduct de Millau (France) , etc.

It looks like it is going to be shot in the right places. I posted this picture in another thread a ocuple of hours ago. Is the car below the new Corniche?

No. That is the result of someone who greatly wants attention and after his expensive cut and shut roof removal drives about in his RR Cabrio cruising the streets saying subconciously saying " Look at Me" when everybody is but not saying wow! look at his car but look at what that F***** idiot done to his RR Phantom.
What a waste of a car and money.

I guess Rolls-Royce needs a 'brand guardian'. And RR cars should be leased only - with a contract condition that any intervention in a car means a contract violation which results in seizure of a car, and a fine of min. $300,000!

:t-roses:

it still looks really sick regarless....who cares if he chopped the top...some guy redid an enzo to make the p4/5 and people call it a masterpeice just because itwas done be a famous design house...but the guy who did this never botched the look of his car so why are you hating...he cant be that dumb...he did buy a roller

January 1st 2007 is the 4th anniversary of RR Motor Cars, and the new Corniche will be unveiled to celebrate the occasion. Debut at NAIAS in January.

Expect to drool when press pics & movies hit you. :icondrool

Also in 2007 (in Geneva or Frankfurt) RR Motor Cars will present 102EX concept car: a Rolls-Royce of tomorrow. In other words: a showcase of upcoming baby (entry) Rolls-Royce.

Nice news Eni. The Corniche Convertible will probably be the hot sh*t in 2007 amongst celebs and multi-millionaries. So we might even see a RR concept next year, cool. Can you tell us something about the design of it, will it be kind of Bangle-ish?

The car is sold out for two years in advance! And it even haven't been shown & launched!

Regarding baby Rolls: design will be very futuristic for a RR (note Bentley paradigm shift with the GT Continental). There will be some character lines shared with Phantom & Corniche, yet temple grille will be MUCH smaller. Also glasshouse will be lower, more coupeish. Suicide doors will still be there - as one of major RR design trademarks. The front end will be more steeply raked & less upright than Phantom's / Corniche's.

that's great news and info Eni. Thanks for that!

surprisingly only a few will go to the entertainment industry as BMW see RR as the ultra luxury status symbol not " Down with that" as Maybach is .
The bulk of owners are actually RR traditionalists and current Phantom owners who have also agreed to a contract to counter attack the Speculator market . Which in the UK is a problem RR have actually banned known speculators from profitting from the Corniche - With BMW calling the shots to make sure real enthusiasts and afficionados get the car first.

Of course there will be one lucky owner who will get their keys first - The BMW main shareholders the Quandt family.

wow cannot wait to see the final product and im sure this car is going to be a huge hit amongst the wealthy people in our world
