C-Class 2007 MB C-Class... Con't Thread 2

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a series of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque's line-up until the W168 A-Class arrived in 1997.
That interior doesn't look bad, but it's not as luxurious as some MB interiors!

I shall wait until I see press pictures before I make any proper comments!

I Hate To Say This But This Thing Looks Like Some Mitsubichi Kind Of Interier ,,, It Looks Like A Japanese Design Too...like Its A Camry Or Honda Or Something... Look At It Well!!

Same hood design as the new CL, don't like that overlap look. If this thing has the same 481hp as the CLK63 lookout RS4 and M3, you're outpowered!

Its funny that when carmakers test prototypes they don't care what wheels they put on the thing! They grabbed just any old wheel for the rears and what appears to be S600 wheels for the front.

This car may be shown before Geneva next year, it looks like it could be ready for Paris in Sept?

Didnt we read here that C63 would get less horsepowers than CKL63? I remember reading 450hp.

I'm not sure, but I want the full 481hp now! :D

And I want an honest to goodness manual tranny this time around!!!

Y'know, this is shaping up to be quite a handsome looking fella! The absurdly short front overhang with the loping roofline seems very textbook Mercedes. Nothing radical, just simple, classy evolution.

I'm more concerned with that interior. :t-crazy2:

I hope they put the same amount of attention to quality into this car as they did the new S-Class. The C is actually more important in some ways to the overall health of the company. The car needs to make the same splash as the new S. That is an even tougher job in the C's crowded class!

The exterior is shaping up to be very handsom, but i fear a bit too restrained for longevity. I have a feeling we will be seeing the final product in Paris at the end of the year. :usa7uh:

Im with you Merc 1, quality on this has to be nailed to lexus like levels of perfection. Anything less won't do.

Question is where the hell is the new CL? They both look production ready, but the CL is late if past history of introductions between the S and CL is anything to go by.

If i remember correctly development on the S-class was frozen for six months before its introduction (..with the w211 E changes were occurring even as the first cars rolled off the production line :t-crazy2:) In this period the car was tested over and over extensively. Mercedes adopted Toyota's approach to vehicle development and testing. The CL has thus probably been production ready for several months and its likely the C is also done. Now its just a matter of testing and ascertaining that quality and reliability is where it should be. With the face lifted E likely to be a success, in the short term at least, they can afford a few more months of testing the C.

Grrr, starting to look like a "me too" kind of car, not good for a 3er competitor.

A mini me, unispired, unoriginal.

OMG , what the heck are you talking about ? nothing wrong with a mini S-class unless it's made by another brand , and saying uninspired when a car is inspired is pointless :t-hihi: , And unoriginal ? in what way ? isnt it a C-class ? a Mercedes Benz C-class ?:t-hands:
