2007 JD Power IQS-Porsche tops,Mercedes most improved

Well we can understand.:D

Thats not the reason. I have always been against 90 days surveys. But I admit it would be nice to see bmw higher place.
Last year they were place 8 but now they are lower (place 22), I wonder why? Its the same new models as last year so what went wrong?

Anyway, this is just temporary, mark my words! and yes, this survey is still redicolous!

PS and yes my Mum have had her BMW more than 90 days and not a single problem. Go figure!

Last year they tested 2006 models, this year 2007 models.IQS study measures the quality of the vehicle in its initial period.A well put together vehicle with quality fittings, high Quality control and basically well designed parts should do well.
IQS measures quality of a vehicle and not total reliability, but initial reliability.

I know its a 2006 and 2007 list. And still, Im more intrested in longterm reliability becuase I tend to own a car longer than 90 days. And yes, my Mum has owned her BMW longer than 90 days and not single problem so far.

Come back to me when we have a 8-12 months survey in our hands. Funny that Lexus is no 1 year after year, are they really that good compared to the germans.

my point is this is not a reliability survey.there is no 8-12 month reliability survey, most are 24-36 months and for the new models to reflect there,it will require atleast year 2008-2009.

I guess I have to wait for a proper survey then :(

Saw this on Autolies last night. Great result for Mercedes-Benz. MOST IMPROVED AWARD definitely goes to them. :usa7uh:

I am especially proud of the S-Class. A brand new car and hardly any problems or faults. Can't wait to see some data on the new C-Class. :eusa_danc

okay maybe the survey is crap..but one can still take something from it
a gain in positions like MB´s there has to be something good in it..

and a fall in positions must mean something is not as good as last time around..
