2007 Frankfurt Auto Show [IAA]

The German makes seem to be going all out this time around. The 2005 IAA wasn't all that IMO, except for a few key German debuts. MB and VW seem to really pouring it on this time around. I can't wait to see this new Mazda of all things.

Loremo to present 100MPG+ prototype at Frankfurt

Germany’s Loremo will unveil a fully working prototype of its super-efficient LS Concept car at next month’s Frankfurt Auto Show, a car that was co-developed to be entered into the upcoming Automotive X-Prise competition. The new prototype, dubbed ‘L1’, will also be used to conduct driving dynamics tests and to validate previous computer only simulations.

According to Loremo’s Chief Gerhard Heilmaier, who spoke with Auto-News, the L1 can travel up to 400km on its eight liter tank of diesel. This equates to an amazing fuel consumption figure of roughly 117mpg (2L/100km). To win the Automotive X-Prize, developers must prove that the car can reliably achieve a 100mpg (2.35L/100km) fuel consumption target and can be produced in commercial numbers.

Loremo previously showcased concept versions of the car at last year’s Geneva Motor Show. The concepts were powered by either two or three-cylinder diesel engines and could seat up to four passengers, but none of these were actually drivable.

I like you guys. this forum is nice, even to an uberlambo fan like myself.

I dont know if its coming at Frankfurt(probably not), but there will be a 1.5 million dollar Lamborghini coming soon. a special edition model, 15 units. thats all I know for now.

I am of course going to the IAA again this year too.

I'll be staying in The Marriott Hotel on the other side of the street. My hotel is like 40 meters from the Mercedes Benz halle.....fellow members, we should meet up there!!!

I am also planning a trip (17 sept) to the IAA. If you have some useful info about parking places are anything else please shoot! ;)

Edit: Is this the hotel near "the messe"? Courtyard Frankfurt Nordwestzentrum – in the NW business area.

I'm going this year too.. most likely on sept 17th.

Oh and Siko, thanx for the effort man:usa7uh:
