Comparison tests 1991 AMuS Comparison Test - Audi 100 2.8E (C4) vs BMW 525i (E34) vs Mercedes 260E (W124)

Both the E34 5-series and W124 E-class were benchmarks in the middle executive class in the late 80s and early 90's. Could the new C4 version of the Audi 100 finally break their dominance in this Jan 1991 test?

I had this Wheels magazine in 1986 and it had the W124 on its cover. This car looked absolutely perfect in this spec.

Damn... W124 showing signs of its age already in 1991. No wonder it lost the comparison test. I could be mistaken, by I think Mercedes was still using mechanical fuel injection when Audi and BMW were using multi-port electronic fuel injection. Is that correct?
