At the 1987 Tokyo Motor Show both Toyota and Nissan showed these extremely hi tech concept cars to demonstrate the future of motoring with their computer and electronic controlled vehicle driving and safety systems and in car infotainment systems.

Just think about this the ideas incorporated into these cars 30 years ago are only used in some very expensive luxury cars today.

Toyota FXV-II:

- 3,8 ltr 32 valve V8 with multiple injection per cylinder
- electronically controlled 4 speed automatic gearbox
- computer controlled air suspension
- electronically controlled 4 wheel steering
- computer controlled 4wd with torque distribution
- traction control
- electronic stability slip control
- card entry and start system for the driver that stores all important information such as mobile telephone numbers and seat positions
- automatic adjustable seats and steering wheel as driver sits in car moves automatic for the driver preferred position and height
- multiple information system with navigation, mobile telephone, vehicle Diagnostics, audio system and full digital instruments.
- passenger seat with ottoman
- automatic tint controlled glass roof
