1962 Lotus Elite type #14. This is an original owner car that was purchased new in October of 1961 and that originally left the Lotus factory in September of 1960. It is a matching numbers car. It is chassis #1344 and engine #8923. This is a stage 1 car. It has the base engine and gearbox. It is a left hand drive car. The car comes with everything in the pictures including all of the old paperwork and memorabilia. Included are the original black on yellow California license plates and the California license plates he got in 1963 which were the first year of the California yellow on black license plates. The car was taken in for a complete restoration sometime in the mid 60’s. The car was later picked up from the shop completely disassembled and not restored. The parts were placed into storage in a garage. The car has been apart since the mid 60’s. This is a project car that has the majority of the pieces . What is missing ( that I know of ) is one seat, the carburetor, windshield wipers, battery, parts of one window assembly, the speedometer, 3 foot pedals, the windshield, steering wheel and brakes, shocks, suspension springs, flywheel, one cam follower, one ( engine valve, retainer and spring ), cam sprockets, cam chain tensioner and the steering column support. I have also been told that there are some parts in my pictures that are not to the car. The original owner had a number of cars and the parts you see we're all in boxes inside the Lotus.
