Anyhow, back on topic, again , these 2 cars cannot be compared, its like comparing a 2001 Ferrari to the 3er coupe ... The ferrari is still an exotic car, and that new model is just a coupe with a sport package ...

My friend was considering buying one of these and test drove both and did not know which to go for.

This is why I dont even participate in the forums as much as before, E55 is an exotic car, its a true fact bro, wake up and smell what you're shoveling, its a close to 100k price tag car, with brutal performance and high quality in all terms, the only thing this car is missing is carbon fiber, which would keep it from blending in as an everyday sedan, ofcourse its an exotic car, and so is the M5 in my books, now please tell me you consider the M5 exotic unlike the E55 because i really do expect you to say so .... Well its not like you believe the crap you said anyway ...

This is what threads with bias like this deserve for an answer, enough !! Lets be grownups for a change, you dont own BMW and I dont own MB, they are just cars , just give them as much as they deserve as cars ...

Honestly tho, the cars are so different from one another that its such a difficult comparison. I guess it depends on where you are in life, i.e. young old, style etc.

Its all relative IMO. A E55 with a 469hp Supercharged V8, a M5 with a 500hp V10 and a RS6 with a 580hp twin-turbo V10 are exotic compared to their normal everyday model siblings, and to most other cars they share the road with. What other cars have such setups/stats? Not many. That said, these same cars are as exotic as Camrys and Accords compared to the machines from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston-Martin.
