X3/X4 [Official] 2011 BMW X3

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.

Oh god..
the front is bad..very bad..its flat nosed..and slow looking..
what a freakin shame..

Do not like the side either..windows look to large and that line is just weak!!!

The rear is best in class along with the XC60.. lovely:)

Interior is boring..same ol BMW of the shelf stuff..

All in all 5/10.. should sell well, given the last one sold alot and it was much worse looking..
But on the other hand there is X1 and X5.. plus new competition..

Lets hope BMW dont make more X cars now.. enough is enough..

I've been saying it since the spy shots, the greenhouse is way too big. Rear is excellent, from is eh, and the interior is nothing special but looks to be better than the previous generation.

Just noticed it has a slight rear wheel arch/buldge like the GLK and E.

I like it, so much better than the current one. Yes every BMW interior looks exactly the same now, but they've always been that way.

This X3 gets the thumbs up from me.

a BIG improvement from the old one, that's for sure.

That is one good side view, oh god, red looks so good! Love the rear lights as well. The only problem I have is the interior, I would like to see other trims i.e. aluminum instead of wood.

Hmm, the interior is great! I especially like the all-wood front part of the central tunnel. The rear is exciting. Resembles the X1. As for the front, I'd prefer it to be more macho.

Overall, I'd give it a 8.5/10. Good car!

The new X3 is definitely an improvement over the previous model; both the exterior and the interior show vast improvements.

Front: I haven't warmed up to the front of the car yet. The headlamps look a bit awkward and rectangular, and it makes the front of the car look quite odd from some angles, particularly the 3/4 angle.

Rear: This is the best part of the new X3. IMO, the rear looks beautiful; a cross between the 3er and the X5.

Interior: A huge improvement over the previous generation. However, I would've liked to see black panel on this car. IMO, the interior bears a striking resemblance to the Audi Q5.

I think it looks fantastic. The high spec model in that silver is fantastic. Interior seems so unfamiliar as we have hardly seen any spy shots of it, so I'll digest it more before I state my claim on it... Such an improvement over the previous generation X3.

Why has every thread with a new BMW model have to start with negativity from the MB crowd????

Anyways....STUNNING :icondrool:icondrool:icondrool

Interior (dash) reminds me of Audi, have to get used to it a bit. The exterior though....from all angles......DAMN!!!!

Shining Star: it has black panel displays, but only for the dials....not the airo etc. like the 5er/7er.

So here it is then. The exterior is rather predictable, especially the tail lights which are now uniform with the X5 and X1 -- nice and neat. Surprisingly I find myself attracted to the nose which resembles a boot, especially in combination with such a sugged looking green house.

Finally the dinosaur, X3 Mk.I, is being put to rest. The formula however, continues to live on. The cabin is a parts-bin carneval of current gen BMW knobs, buttons and steering wheels -- most of which seem to be borrowed from the E90. But who cares? It's 2010 and people are still willingly shelling out top money for the previous X3 featuring E46 components. This is BMW shaking its money maker. The X3 is a very lucrative model for the brand. You can call it BMW's equivalent of the Lexus RX.

For it's intent and purpose, I think BMW have played their cards right -- it's got a premium badge, doesn't look to intimidating and has a "safe" appearence. however, I do find the Audi Q5 having a less "entry-evel" aura about it.

Plus the 600,000+ customers who bought the E83 X3 actually liked the tough , robust and chiseled look of the car , something that was taken into consideration during the design process for the F25.

Now the next all-new BMW model is the 6er and that closes the curtain on the 2003 trio of 5er , X3 and 6er.

Not an SUV fan in general but I like this new X3. Aggressive, purposeful, no excuses.

Thumbs up from me.:usa7uh:

Not liking it, the rear is good, very good compared to the previous generation, but how did they come with those headlights? It's so similar to that Ford SUV. The emotion of it is soft, even the previous generation, while bad looking, had that strong-SUV appearance that at least gave it some special character. The X1, or even the controversial 5GT looks a million times better. Just why can't BMW get both generations of X3s right? Cover up the kidney grille and the thing doesn't even look like a BMW. The side shoulder line, what's up with that little curl near the front wheelarch and that curl on the front side window? seriously, ***??
Admitably, the interior made me thought of Audi the first time i looked at it, there just looked to be some kind of Audi-wrap around the centre console, but then it's not too bad, it looks more welcoming and smooth than Audi's.
Hope this car doesn't say a lot about the next 3series!

The headlamp look ugly to me....something like old opel headlamp....X1 still the better design overall.....:t-banghea
