Sank_ch, I'm pretty sure the buttons and tech comes straight from the E90 3er (I've seen spy pics of the E90 airco control in the new X3). Not the fancy black panel and LCD stuff like in the new 7er/5er.

So the interior will be old from the beginning

And 5er quality? No way!

It is nothing like an X1 , each X vehicle displays it's own character. Autobild have pretty much rendered the looks of the car. Bar a few details it is what you will see towards the end of the month.

From this angle the new X3 looks bigger,boxier....and for sure badass...compared to the current X3.Or maybe the driver is just small in stature.Enjoy.PS....these rims look very close to the X5M/X6M rim designs.Take care and thanks.PalBay

Just seen this on the news. From the video on the news, it might have been an X3 prototype, but I'm not sure.

Damn, it looks great in that first shot. It's the first one I see with the chrome strip revealed in the bumper! Looks really good. The grille too btw!

Oh yes, and the first two shots you have there are very good ones (3rd car appears to be a different car from the one in the first two shots, and it has more camo/no chrome bars)!

I believe BMW USA will have a permit, here in South-Africa the manufacturers have a big sign/sticker on the cars that reads: GOVERNMENT APPROVED HIGH SPEED VEHICLE when testing cars here.

Clearly NY Cops are not car enthusiasts

Normally, we don't see prototypes driving in the city. Most of them are driving outside of the city or on the highways.

It's not clear in the pictures, but in the US, prototypes and cars owned by car companies get "manufacturer" license plates. Like this one:

It's not the cops' fault. They responded to call made by an old lady walking her dog and the vehicle happened to be parked near a very popular museum.

The grille looks like rounded, not convinced at all. The car has really the E53 X5 size, it´s huge. And it makes me wonder if this is the first BMW of the "new" designed ones, as SCOTT hinted the new F32 and F33 3er won´t be as rounded as the current ones.
