Looks like the X3 is finally going to get its mcuh rumoured early f/l. The story details a much better cabin, hopefully up to the level of the X5, or E90 at least. Looks much better, even with small changes.

We got a hint long ago (April 13, 2005):

We can ecpect similar front & rear bumper design to the new X5. I guess upper part to be painted, lower not - like on current X5.

Also BMW have said (van Hooydonk in AutoBild interview) they learnt a lesson puting not as quality materials in the interior - and would solve the problems in the future MY models or at facelifts. So I believe X3 interior will be further improved.

i guess i would have to say that i triple sign that or something
At first i didnt like the x5 when i was first getting into cars because back then i liked american cars and it didnt fit the image. But now i look atthe X5 and see how beatiful it is. But i dont think i can ever think that about the X3

Do the current X3's have painted bumpers as the car's body? I've only seen X3's with black bumpers, but the other day I saw a blueish one with painted bumpers as the car's body and I thought it looked good. BMWUSA has some nice pics of the X3 with painted bumpers

damn man i dont want to upset ppl.. but hell that car is ugly.. its like on the top list of the worst looking cars ever made.. makes me sick..

I know what you mean man. I don't like it either, I'd take the X5 over this anyday. It's selling very well though, it's everywhere here.

We'll see what MB brings to the table when they decide to make a small SUV based on the C-Class.

I agree it's not nice, but it's not THAT horrible.

I agree with you. Its true that X3 dont look as good as X5. I have no problem with the front on the X3 but shape of the rearlights need to be changed. Other than that the car is okey, also the car selling very well.

Every carbrand have at least one not good looking car. Mercedss has R-class (particulary the front) and Audi has TT (the whole shape is a disaster) and BMW has X3. TT and R-class are ugly cars as well. IMO of course.

I'm fine with interior, but what this car desperately needs are the complete new headlights!

What I want is chrome around the windows, different bigger rims, other colored bumpers and a whole new interior.

Huckfeld CGs are not bad... although I'm hoping they'll change the front lights a bit... they need improvement IMO.

God, everything looks out of place in the rear and the kink looks terribly forced. This car is a real shame. But it's ok because I can finally break in this cool new smiley!
