X1 Next BMW X1 to go front-drive

The BMW X1 is a line of cars produced by BMW since 2009. A subcompact luxury crossover class, the first-generation X1 was based on the E90 3 Series and offered rear-wheel drive layout as standard. The second-generation X1 marked the switch to a front-wheel-drive-based layout using the UKL2 platform shared with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the Mini Countryman. Despite its name, it is now only the second smallest SUV produced by BMW since the introduction of the X2.

The seats on both mules look like sports seats with extended squabs maybe they M sport package or Sportline.

Both of those vehicles have the M-Sport steering wheel, so I think that's a very big clue.

I'm impressed with the expanse of fabric and leather used instead of just plain plastic. Look at the door panel as well as the central armrest. Very nice!

Just read a report saying X1 ranked among the cars sold the most after only one year of ownership. Hope this one improves on that disturbing statistic.

Don't you think it's s sport line, judging by the red sticking in cloth sports seats?

The seats with red accent - is sportline version with optional M-sport steering wheel. The real M-sport line will be available with combined materials alcantara/textile or fully leather like on last photos.

There is no need to be professor to understand, that X1 will have all the same versions, like the 2 series Active Tourer, on which X1 will be based.

I think there will be 4 versions:

I am trying to see if that is maybe the M Sport packet going by the steering wheel.
On the Preview-Cover on the new "Autozeitung" a vehicle is blurred out. For me it looks a bit like a SUV and I see big "Nieren". The magazine come out tomorrow. Do you think it´s the X1?

Maybe my eyes have cheated me...

It certainly is a busy time. Everybody are getting ready for new launches in the run up to the IAA in just under a few months time.
