The AMG GT interior looks better and more modern than SLS except for the Door Handles and speaker next it are Identical in both cars!!

For some reason i do not get updates on this thread anyways i'm amazed at how the GT is shaping up, that iterior has the best integration of the new screen and looks so snug overall, can't wait to hear that new M177 rumble

SLS v2 is shaping up nicely.
The new interior is a big step up!
The central console is too much for my taste but the interior looks good in general.

PS: It's based on the SLS, right?

Whis is this with MB and central air vents? Each new model comes out with one more air vent compared the previous model. Expect the ML facelift to come with 5 air vents in the middle and the new E with 6.

No its not..its based on the new modular supercar platform if im not wrong..

The C190 is based on the platform that also underpins the SLS, made of aluminum. Major changes apply, however, such as the doors. Also, length etc.

This is not exactly a SLS replacement, according to AMG. I say, based on the interior, it blows the SLS out of the water.

The S-Class has 4, the S-Coupe has 4. I'm expecting the 4 air-vent motif to be consistent amongst MB's higher-end offerings. Where is the "one more air vent" you speak of?

SLC blows the F-Type's interior out of the water. It looks a bit sad inside the Jag right now.

Here's the press release. :)

The new Mercedes-AMG GT: The sporting sensation

Affalterbach. A new AMG high-performance automobile is all set for its world premiere in the autumn of 2014. The Mercedes-AMG GT will thrill sports car fans throughout the world with breath-taking design and supreme agility. Fascinating, dynamic - and versatile into the bargain: the GT is destined for a new segment - turning the dream of the authentic Mercedes-AMG sports car into reality.

"The new Mercedes-AMG GT shows that we will be positioning AMG more vehemently and aggressively than to date as a dynamic sports car brand," notes Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH. "The technological substance of the Mercedes-AMG GT underscores our high aspirations with regard to driving dynamics, agility and sportiness. Following the global success of the SLS AMG, the new GT is the second sports car developed fully independently by Mercedes-AMG. An initial exclusive look at the design of the interior shows what is in store for our customers: a GT sports car in its purest form."

The sensual purity of a superlative driving machine

A sneak preview of the interior provides an alluring foretaste of the new Mercedes-AMG GT: the interior design embodies emotion and sensuality like no other sports car. The uncompromising lines of the interior components and their authentic materials exude a clarity that uses contrasting effects to help define the concept of "modern luxury".

A dominant aspect in the cockpit of the GT is the further stylistic development of the central "aviation design" theme which is typical of Mercedes-Benz sports cars. The dashboard places an extreme emphasis on width, creating an impression of a powerful wing. This effect is supported by the four central spotlight-style vents and the individual vents at the left and right ends of the dashboard. The dominant centre console presents a correspondingly dynamic character: its shaping reminiscent of a NACA air intake and the employed materials suggest that it has been adopted directly from motor racing. Another clever design feature comes in the form of the controls on the AMG DRIVE UNIT, which are arranged like eight cylinders in a V layout, further bolstering the powerful and high-tech impression made by the centre console.

Enough to set pulses racing even when stationary

The interior of the Mercedes-AMG GT also boasts a fascinatingly exclusive look and feel, with the finest materials and outstanding workmanship combining to conjure up a setting that simply exudes class. As such, the exclusive interior of the Mercedes-AMG GT is enough to get one truly hooked on this vehicle even while it is still at a standstill. Designed to set the driver's and front passenger's pulses racing even before the car moves off, it provides an enticing intimation of the superlative dynamic performance that can be expected of the new GT when its AMG V8 is brought to life.

Lol overhead panel like a flying machine..YAY!
It is a bit odd to see the heated seat buttons and hazard light button placed so high above, also check out the size of that structure, I haven't seen a sports car with such a thick horizontal bar connecting the A pillars together.

Air vents took all the space ;)

I'm loving that interior. Spectacular!
The highly placed buttons are awesome too.

I think that's more design than actually solid bar.

Awaiting 10 disagrees for my post...:D

I like this interior 10 times better than the one in new S... It's simply better designed in my eyes. In fact, i think this is the most beautiful interior of all current Mercs... Effin' stunning! :notworthy:

An A380 with triangle hazard light?

LOL :D

Seriously though, buttons on the ceiling used to be normal many years ago. And I have always liked it a lot. Really gives that airplane, special feeling. Pure win.

No disagree from me. They don't compare at all.
