When I was young and first started collecting car magazines in the mid 80's, alot of the car magazines world wide at the time used to have their covers or new model content filled with scoop sketches/illustrations from Mark Stehrenberger, probably one of the legends in car styling.

He was the inspiration for me when i was young to come up with my own car sketches (some my own designs and some future designs on existing brands). I unfortunately stopped drawing cars once I got to my mid to late teens and have not done it since then and lost alot of my work during the many house moves when I was a kid. Maybe its time I got back into it again!!

I have managed to find some info on this guy as well as some older AMS covers from the 70/80's with some of his magnificent work.

Thank you very much, Rolf, for the review into the 1970s and 1980s.
It's very impressive how accurate the renders were. Its looks like painted photographs.
Anybody know if this renders based on known pictures?

@Busty I know you enjoy sketching I saw some of your works on here and they excellent.
@rs271 I saw some other interview with him I will post shortly where he mentions that he has so many contacts with the design teams of the various companies etc so gets his ideas from them.
