Dutch Autoweek. Very nice leak.

I have to get used to this, and @SKY was right about the headlight design! Credits where they are due.

As said before: to me it's too vanilla. Too conventional & conservative.

The details are new though as, for instance, the way the kidney shape is taken up by the headlights inside. Or the line on the outside referencing the i8.

In this shot, the headlights look huge ... but they don't in flesh and bone. The rest is visually conservative but good. Some parts like the rear are great.

The interior and the rear look fantastic. The sode is just F01 with chrome and the front end is... So so at best.

Are we sure this isn't a F30 3er LCI interior? :D:p;)

P.s.: passenger screen, where are you hiding? Oh, you're not there at all. :meh:

It's nice, but I am, right now, with EnI and underwhelmed. There are some elements that don't sit well with me, but I'll offer up my words later. I don't want to rain on the parade.

sooooooo....does this move the timetable up for press pic release?

The interior looks fantastic. No excuses here. It looks super stylish.

Yet again, those frontlights do not allow this car to be perfect.

@klier is going to love the hood's shutline :D
I hate the chrome trim entering the stoplights, just as I hate it on the GLE. Is a design detail featured on too many cheaper and wannabe cars, to be on Bimmers and Benzes. For the rest, very nice.

It's nice. Exactly as Tine described it - vanilla exterior. The interior isn't that bad either, very stylish, not shouty or bold. Simple. I don't understand the material around the gearlever and iDrive buttons, seems to be white. Other than that, it's a perfectly fine car and thank God it didn't turn out to be an S-Class with a BMW badge.

IMO it's a true 7er.

Good job BMW.

I really understand your hesitation about the headlights (as I also don't love them) but the perspective and lighting here give a particularly wrong impression. Also the muscular lines (which are quite different from the F01) on the side are 'swallowed' by darkness .... to sum up: we should still hope for more and better pics.

Was about to ask this.

Interior looks lovely, but I really have to get used to both the front and rear!

btw, the steering wheel is very close to VFL. Very nice.
