5 Series [Official] BMW 5-Series (G30)

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

The headlight are really more clear then the f10 lci..perfect look.
Looks so nice for now as the led one..
Then later we will see the laserlight in m5:cry:

Looking good overall...however not quite feeling it as I did with the F10, it somewhat lacks the elegance and coherence of the former, but otherwise it is purely predictable esp. The shrunken 7er interior, imo the rear of the car is weakest point..so the story remains the same with MB doing elegance and BMW sporty, all the same..

Love the E39 the most, saw one the other day it's so handsome and doesn't even look dated...according to this pic,it also has the most pretty face.

Interesting point - I agree. I have read numerous pieces of text where acknowledged design experts have lauded the E60 for what it brought from an exterior design perspective.
And, I do recognise the significance of some of the details such as the introduction of complex, "flame" surfaces. But, as necessary as the E60's revolution was, for me it was too much of a revolution over one of my favourite BMW sedans of all - the safe yet still progressive (and lovely!) E39. To my mind, the E39 is BMW's W124.

E60 and E65 (which is my absolute favorite, still have one) have contributed much more than many think to the BMW genome and car design in general.
Good to see that (in contrast to the F10) the G30 is citing its grandfather very clearly particularly in the shoulder area.

Some of you are saying the rearlights are big. To me they don't seem to be much larger than on previous car. On the new 5 they are slightly longer but smaller in width. The way I see it, the lights are similar in size. I think it's a picture issue, in real life the size won't be a problem.

Such true words. The rear lights are very nice indeed. Better than F10.

I know it is a growing trend, but personally, I feel that the M550i xDrive should also be offered as an Excellence variant (as in the case of the M760Li xDrive V12) or as a stand-alone 550i model in Luxury Line.

BMW designers have a relay perverse fetish as of late (in a last decade or so) ... for Honda Accord-like rear light cluster design.

Please, stop!

I love the front, I love the side profile, I love the rear (bar the rear light cluster) ... but really, stop making Honda / Toyota / Mitsubishi / whatever - like rearlight cluster design. L-shaped rear lights can be & have to designed in less Honda-like way IMHO. It's BMW, for G's sake. Make it right!

i dont like the side body graphics. its way too confusing for the eye. does the line really need to flow into the hofmeister kink...

What i can see till now that the G30 is better look in everything comparig to the f10
But now we have to wait for the m5.
