No-ho-wayz! 1er LCI gets totally new tail lights to fix something that wasn't a problem. :bonk:

I hope the effort is commensurate on [HASHTAG]#worstfrontonabeemerofalltime[/HASHTAG].

Lol, The top part of that rear light graphic looks like a semi flaccid wiener.

Fair point but in the end:

Lol.

I sometimes think, BMW design team has a bet going, on what they can get the board to approve - "What? the gran lusso lights is too risque for you? Fine, I will draw a wiener on the rear lights".

The 1 series rear end still looks good, I hope this LCI change is not a huge mistake in that they changed the back but not the front!!:cry: Those front lights and grill need a drastic change.

Woah, just saw that. It appear full new rearlights with them extending into the bootlid. Fantastic!! Those lights already look amazing.

Much needed facelift. Again, the base was really good, the car stance is perfect, the side profile looks really good, but the front end is terrible and the rear is not nice neither (nor ugly I must say). With that in mind, I think it was easy for BMW just to change the entire front and the bootlid and give the car an entire new look without throwing the house out of the window in terms of budget.

And to think some members almost called us crazy for saying how ugly was this car back in 2011...

That would be me.
I like the car , it was different and customers seem to like it to as it sold exceptional with most customer optioning for the Sport Packet. I always thought the styling had a Fiat Ritmo quality to it. To some it was ugly , to others it was modern ,fresh and unfamiliar.

The M140i will not have anywhere near 375 PS. The M2 will get around 375 PS. The M140i will (eventually) get around 330 PS, but that won't be launched until 2016.

Oh, true. But it seems 340i is having that amount of power, maybe they just change the name to the current M135i.
