X3/X4 New '06 X3s

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.

Just an FYI, the new'06 X3s are on the build your own BMW section of the BMWUSA site. IMO they look awesome with the new painted bumpers, especially with sport pack painted sills and larger wheels. I'm trying to swing an ED on one for late '06 if finances will allow it... I'm particularly enamored with the all white exterior and terra cotta interior. I used to be able paste images from BMW's BYO pages but I can't anymore, it may be my new browser...

Klier too.... Awesome......

Yeh the new one looks more fuller..... nicer truck....

Go for it Mr.D...

Hi Mr.D

You may recall a couple of things from back at GCF...
Firstly, I love white cars.
Secondly, I'm far fonder of the X3 compared to, say, the X5.

Sadly, an X3 is just way out of my price range down here in SA otherwise I'd be there in a flash. Stunning colour, fab interior. I'd be envious...

Imagine if you could get a new 3.0i (with the new N52 engine) or a 3.0d... as far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong. Good luck!

Very nice to see all of you here.

The new bumpers on the X3 with the wheels for the sport package are incredible.

Thanks klier!

I think the exterior is a huge improvement over the '05s and IMO the Terra Cotta interior gives the X3 a very rich looking interior. My bud's M3 had the cinnamon interior which looks very similar, it was gorgeous! I'm definitely thinking mine would be an early '07 model, so maybe BMW will make even more improvements to the interior. I was always an iDrive naysayer but over the past 6 months have changed my opinion. I now couldn't imagine paying for Nav and not having all the added iDrive features. Hopefully the '07 X3s will get the option, like the new e90s...

I think the X3 would be ready for a small facelift by 2007.

I have to tell you, after looking at the white one that has been posted with teh sport package and that leader interior that reminds me of the M3's cinammon interior I have to say I love it. Never thought it would be this nice!

So, Mr.D, when are you going to get one?

:t-cheers:

We're thinking either Fall '06 or Spring '07. We don't want to to be in Europe in the winter and would rather miss the summer crowds. We also have to work around my teaching schedule. So my two week spring break would make the most sense, but spring '07 is a long ways off...
:(

My wife and I will probably get her one next spring. The white one shown in this thread is the one she wants. However, she rather have the black interior. If it was my choice I'd get the mystic blue with black interior. But it will be her car so she gets what she wants.

The latest Autozeitung is saying the X3 will get a true facelift (meaning different frontlights, backlights, bumpers, probably full iDrive interior, etc) somewhere in 2006, so I think if you buy a '07 model, you will get an even better looking car! Facelifts imo always look better @ BMW.

BTW, this forum is amazing feature and style wise. It has everything and then some.
There are too much boards though. :t-drive:

A lot nicer without the black bumpers.. even if still the same material now at least painted the same color as the car looks a lot better.
Interior a lot nicer too. :D

But spring '07 will have a facelifted X3, that's worth it. New bumpers, front-backlight, probably full iDrive interior, etc.

IMO, it's worth it to wait for it. BMW facelifts always make the pre-facelifted look 'old'.
