I like how they have M-scoop in the bumper extended above bumper line and it visually reduces the flat sheet metal appearance between headlights and grill.

^agreed. Also make the "eyes"/lights appear smaller!

Dare I say it, it even looks good as a three door!

New side view mirrors and wheels are great touches and ads to the uniqueness(y)

Side view: With the 3-door, the elongated bonnet is even more pronounced looking fab!

Much, much better! Is this getting anprated N54?

Also, is that a reverse camera integrated into the rear PDC sensor?

Still, the front looks so much better in real life than it does in these photos.

Looks much better than the normal 1er. 320 hp and 5,1 s to 100? Seems promising.

BMW M135i. Interview with Christof Lischka, Project Manager

The BMW M135i is the first petrol engine model to be presented in the new category BMW M Performance Automobiles. What are the car’s technical highlights?

Christof Lischka: The BMW M135i is the first petrol engine model of the BMW M Performance Automobiles as well as being the first representative of the 1 Series family. For this reason, it was important for us to give the BMW M135i the specific characteristics typical of all BMW M Performance Automobiles – specially matched to the 1 Series of course.

I'm assuming the automatic transmission is probably the new ZF 8 Speed?

    It is. ;)

As one of my coaches said when I was a pro athlete some years ago, when we did some excersizes:
"Much better, but still very bad" ;)

    If you get my point.

    Those headlights gotta go. Horrible.
Rest of the car looks better. I would still pick the A3, the Astra OPC and the Golf R anyday over this.

That angle is actually not bad at all! You can't see the big sad eyes and that is what saves it.

Here's hoping for the coupe not to get the same headlights.

    It wouldn't take much:

From this angle it actually looks not bad at all, though from the front it's been hit about the face with the ugly stick.

M135i with special tyres . More info on it?

The suspension settings were completely reworked to match the special tyres and the modifications to the chassis. The application of the steering, the adaptive M running gear and the entire powertrain was completely revised and newly harmonised. The exclusively developed tyre is provided solely as part of a mixed tyre combination. So we didn’t have to allow for a whole range of tyres of different dimensions, as is the case with the basic models.
