Holy mother of...

That was a close race!!

For me it's a tie between the RS7 and the M6 GC. I just dont like the styling of the CLS, although the engine is brutal.

Who would have thought that we would have 3 german sedans within 3.2-3.5 seconds to 60mph.... Insane.

What I like very much is "The RS7 is the most fun on the back roads...". Wow, so it's that good? It actually wins the "fun to drive" test. It's nice to finally hear that about an Audi.
"Quattro gmbh's best work yet". Are they serious??

P.S. No launch control in the RS7???

Officially no Launch Control in the RS6 either... but one of the technicians in Germany told AutoBild Sportscars about the "secret" L.C. (launch from 2800 rpm with torque braking).

I think Dede already explained that 0-60 isn't the case with most US magazines :)
I love the RS7 but they rate it higher than the M6GC on exterior styling!?
Both are equally fun to drive!?

I'd take the RS7 because it's cheaper and has some weird appeal to me :)

Thay are wrong about the headroom in the A7 (RS7) I have been in one... I am average in height and there was very little headroom in there for me compared to the A6. I actually had more head and knee room in the CLS.

Proper kph-acceleration data calculated from 0-60, 0-100mph and quarter mile times. :)

Audi RS7 Sportback:
  • 0-100 kph: 3,8 s
  • 0-160 kph: 7,9 s
  • 0-200 kph: 12,1 s
  • Quarter mile: 11,8 s (198 km/h)

BMW M6 Gran Coupé:
  • 0-100 kph: 4,0 s
  • 0-160 kph: 8,1 s
  • 0-200 kph: 12,0 s
  • Quarter mile: 12,0 s (200 km/h)

Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG S:
  • 0-100 kph: 3,6 s
  • 0-160 kph: 7,8 s
  • 0-200 kph: 12,4 s
  • Quarter mile: 11,8 s (196 km/h)

Cee El Ess 63 Ay Em Gee like a baws to 100 and 160 km/h!

But then what happened after that old chopper?

Sure the RS7 can get better numbers, if the S8 did hits in Motortrend-test 0-60 mph in 3.5 s.

M6 did good in 0-60 times despite being RWD but from rolling start M6 is the quickest. Quite a difference in slalom too. I'm kinda chocked that M6 scored 10/10 in steering feel.

Yes? What about it? The RS7 is a very beautiful car, and very loved around the world. And why is it so hard to understand that an Audi is more fun to drive then a BMW. C'mon.

When performance comparisons are this close I think you need to look at other things other than performance to separate them and that's actually what Car & Driver did.

One thing that needs to be said here is the rear seat of the 6GC, how can BMW call this car capable of ferrying 3 people in the rear it's a joke. I got the chance to tried it out last week and frankly it's up there with one of my most uncomfortable trips, unless you happen to be a well paid hooker no one would want to have their legs spread this far apart for any length of time.

+1(y)

M6 GC for me and the RS7, well if I can afford both I'll have both. CLS's cabin is very nice place to be, just as the competitions, styling is a let down though.

for me M6 GC have more headspace than CLS when I had seat time. Tall people with short legs exist :D
