X3/X4 BMW X4 is coming...

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.

Worldcarfans.com Photo's By @Palbay There are X4 photo's floating around in Sparkling Brown at this same level of camo. The X4 is stunning in Sparkling Brown. The Sparkling Brown shots should surface soon. Thanks PalBay

I assume that the parts of the cockpit which are covered containts modifications the X3 LCI will get, too.

I really don't understand the desire of some people to want a vehicle like the X4 or X6, when a X3 and X5 are much more practical and essentially will feel the same way when driving. I guess a sloping rear headroom and trunk capacity destroying roofline is such an important aspect from a cosmetic point of view??

Even a 3 series touring is so much cooler, in my opinion.

Of course, I'm biased.....my wife drives a X3 and we love it for what it is.......we don't need it to look like a raised 4 door coupe.

As ridiculous as the X6 is I like it. I did however like the X5 so it wasn't that much of a stretch. The 2nd generation X3 was always horrid, from it's front to the side character lines, I wish the X4 did enough to make up for it.

In the above picture, dark blue with camouflage is one of the best of the X4, makes me still have hope.

Looks like a copy and paste of the poor X3 interior.

Whereas the X6 have almost the same interior like the X5 it was to expect that will be the same with X3/X4.
And I´m not agree that the X3 have a poor interior. It looks more valueable than the Mercedes GLK pre-facelift interior and see the interior of X3, GLK facelift an Q5 at the same level.
But this is only my opinion and I accept your mind.

First Photo...BMW X4 in Red Paint. Completely changes the entire feel of the car...esp with all of the mostly white prototypes to date. Stay tuned...full Nikon set in the Red Dress....Thanks. PalBay

As you can see the wheels showcased on the concept car have been carried over to production in this Vermillion Red example.

Should be out early next year

BMW is still continuing the testing procedures for the X4 as the crossover was seen recently on the Nürburgring in Germany.
Earlier this year during 2013 Auto Shanghai we saw the X4 Concept and now the Bavarian marque is about to launch its production sibling. This time a prototype was spied testing on the ‘Ring ahead of what will probably be an early 2014 market launch, following a possible NAIAS reveal in Detroit.
In terms of design, the car will essentially look like a smaller X6 and will be underpinned by the same platform used on the X3 compact crossover. The interior cabin will probably closely mirror the X3 but with several extra goodies from the M Performance catalog.
Power is expected to come from a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine outputting 240 bhp (179 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm), as well as from a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter diesel churning 184 bhp (135 kW) and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque. There should also be a more powerful TwinPower Turbo inline-six rated at 300 bhp (224 kW) and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque.

Spent some time recently in an environment where the traction of four wheel drive and the ground clearance of an SUV were essential but cargo capacity, and even passenger capacity weren't that important. I'm surprised to find myself considering that the X4 would have been ideal. I was getting around in a toyota hilux diesel, and while it commended itself in the hills, ruts, potholes and beaches, it left much to be desired on the highway stretches to and from those experiences, never did put anything in the pickup bed.

In this video you can see the different used turn signals. The first X4 in the video have turn signal above the headlight, the last one sideways like the current X3. Probably it´s depend which kind of headlight is obstructed, Xenon or LED.
