Concept BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe concept

Future car concepts, design studies, upcoming tech, and what may come next
Close to the CS but not like the CS.
Sad part is- it won't make it to production.

Well, I disagree with everything :D
It's not close to the CS because it's very ugly from some angles. Mostly the rear.
And the good part is that it WON'T go into production. BMW will have to give an uber coupe some extra thought, this is simply a remodelled F01 with weird (ugly) rear.

Interior is to die for though.

Here are all the high res images from the press release:

Klier-mate, your post is certainly going to get "winner!" from Levi68.

I just could not get myself to rate X disagree, can't do that to you:)

Me, I am in cloud 9, she's absolutely stunning!

Haha, feel very free to mark my post as disagree, but there is simply no way I am going to say that I like that rear because I really don't.

It's just poor sorry.

I'm digesting. Theres certainly a lot of nice stuff going on, which I suspect is BMW's work, but there seems to be a lot of not so nice in equal measure. To me, it doesn't look like pininfarina brought anything to the party in terms of beauty, and the BMW DNA seems to have been blended with some foreign weirdness. And when I say foreign, it actually looks more American.

How's your view on the front-end/shark-nose?

Sorry, feeling naughty::sneaky:

The front end appears to be one of the more promising elements. Nice! It brings that needed aggression to the doughy front ends of late.

Nice comparasion front end to font end, is clear which is the more modern, stilish and which has the most powerful presence.......the lusso

How's your view on the front-end/shark-nose?
Sorry, feeling naughty::sneaky:
You know what? I prefer the normal 6er front a million times over this. This nose above reminds me to much about the previous generation, which I so much disliked, and still do.

So, I will take this anytime, anyday:

The Z9 Concept from 1999 I believe. Previewing the E65 and E63.

I have no idea why it was posted to be honest...

The rear dead on is rather pretty, but it's very ugly in the 3/4 view.
The front looks pretty stunning like that. Fresh and modern. And not boring like the current F cars.

It could turn out quite nicely if they evolve this into the G11.

Well... I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much after seeing that little snippet of a sneak preview, but with the full reveal this things look alright. Of course specific design elements like the shape of the front lights, and the Lincoln-esque rear aren't perfect, I absolutely love the sexy stance coupled with the powerful presence of the car. Some compare it to the A7, and that's valid to a certain extent, but the sheer size of this thing (7er Coupe size) and that upright front (as Human stated) really make this thing look grand!

I agree with many that this is not as jaw-dropping as the CS Concept from 2008, it's fascinating how a number of key design elements are still present in this car even though it's a good 5 years after the CS Concept. I think with a tweaking of the front and rear lights, this would be a worthy two-door coupe variant of the CS Concept. It's a design concept, so you have to broaden your mind to some of the design elements. The rear lights for example, are an exaggerated variation of the BMW ConnectDrive Concept.

The side profile is not too different to the CS Concept. Of course the lack of the rear doors means a shallow/sleeker rear end, but the similarity in overall profile is still all BMW.

CS (rear + side) + GLC front = WINNER!!!!

And of course the Concept CS interior, but that's a no-brainer.
