The lights are about to turn green and the tension is rising to bubbling point. My adrenaline is really starting to pump now as, through the double-glazing of the BMW 760i, I can distantly hear the shouting of hundreds of petrolheads. Alongside me is a Noble M12 GTR and in front of me is the quarter mile of Santa Pod's famous drag strip - now all I've got to do is wait for the lights to turn green and get to the finish line first.
