Do you have sources, stats, figures? Honestly, I asked for solid arguments

. Germany's big 3 and their chain suppliers (ZF-Sachs, SKF, etc.) employ half of the country. There even is a "VW-Gesetz" ("VW bill") which defines company's share structure, etc. My main point was that the big 3 benefit from their own importance and unlimited support granted by the state.
Besides, we are speaking of the car industry and not industry as a whole, here. Off course there are other big ones, like Siemens or Bosch (who are also automotive suppliers), contributing to ze Industry. But it is not the point here.
