-Macan means tiger in Indonesian.

-55.000 Euro for the Macan Diesel S in Germany

-Will be made at the Leipzig plant, 500 million Euro invested, 1000 person employed for the task.

-Expected sales of 50.000 units annually.

-In terms of exterior dimensions, the Macan measures 4,680mm (184.3 inches) long, 1,920mm (75.6 inches) wide and 1,620mm (63.8 inches) tall, compared to the Cayenne that stands at 4,850mm (190.9 inches) long, 1,940mm (76.4 inches) wide and 1,710mm (67.3 inches) tall.

-The Macan will launch in Europe with an initial range of three models, including the base "S" with a 3.0-liter force-fed V6 rated at 335hp (340PS) and 460Nm, the "Diesel" with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel rated at 255hp (258PS) and 580Nm, and the "Turbo" fitted with a 3.6-liter turbocharged V6 good for 395hp (400PS) and 550Nm.

I usually hate SUVs..but this is amazing i must say..the rear is epic.. if those rear lights is the way Porsche is going in the future, im over thrilled

Superb, easily the best looking small premium SUV.. MB,Audi and BMW got nothing on this.

Actually, it means a leopard. A leopard in indonesian is "Macan tutul", whereas a panther is "Macan kumbang".

Not a tiger, which in Indonesian, tiger is "Harimau"

Awww..That is the cutest Porsche I have ever seen! I love that red interior.

I think it's the best resolved design of an SUV this size... and I think it looks more desirable than its bigger sibling... I just hope that it gets the sliding rear seats from the Cayenne, that is one of those things that makes it far more versatile (you can have more cargo and still people in the back, even if their comfort is somewhat reduced. If it has them, I'm seriously considering replacing my X5 for this thing
