Front is ugly.. looks like a old woman without teeth, or some kind of ugly fish

Side profile is to heavy for a coupe, it looks very tall the green house is also to tall, it does not look hunkered down and sleek like BMW coupes usually do.
It has alot of audi in it

The rear is alright i think minus the extension of the lights across the whole booth, if you take that away those lights are pretty sleek and give a familiar BMW look somehow. i like it.

Interior is boring as shit, its a damn concept and they couldn't even come up with something exciting.
Seems like they are in no hurry to come up with a new design for BMW interiors.
It just has some fancy cowboy leather in it.. other than that its just a 6er.

PS
I like the BMW and Pininfarina flag on the lid of the compartment.. :D

I'm sure that was 'just a typo' and you really meant 7er.

Then again......you didn't see the other changes either.
If it's no S class (or any other Benz) it's ugly. You're mostly right regarding this car though ;)

^lol well there you go, its a mix and match of the 6er and 7er which aren't to different to start with..

No, no you're right. 6er and 7er look pretty much the same
Just like every MB with the same airco unit look about the same :wacky:

There is nothing 6er in it. It's a 7er interior with some added layers. The whole car is a chopped up 7er. And they aren't previewing the next gen BMW interiors here, that's one thing to be sure about.

Pininfarina didn't bother creating an interior for this concept. It's cheaper like this for a car that won't be made anyways.
The CS has a whole bespoke, unique and utterly fantastic interior because at some point the people at BMW really thought they were going to sell the car.

^Same and Not to different are 2 very separate things.

Whatever it is, its old.. as in seen it already.
Which is lazy for a concept..

^ Yes it's a lazy concept. Proportions are weird because the car isn't bespoke (it's a 7er), and it doesn't have an interior of it's own. You can write an angry letter to Pininfarina, or you can blame BMW for not giving them enough recourses/flexibility.

BMW probably simply said: "Here's a 7er, make a coupe out of it".

I wonder how much of it is Pininfarina and how much is BMW.

We will never know though.

Clearly, the good parts are BMW, the bad ones are Pininfarina

Pretty obvious :D

^hah well lets just say so. its a german car forum after all

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that BMW put a 4 year old interior (2009 F01) into a CONCEPT CAR?!?! If this car goes into production with that interior - they will no longer be known for 3 cuts of the same sausage - instead it will just be the same sausage.

While the outside is beautiful, modern, and a fresh take on BMW - I am really tired of BMW literally taking an interior from a completely different model and sticking it into another vehicle - the worst violator being the 1 series interior which was shoved into the F30. I think its time BMW found a new head of interior design - this past generation of interiors have been boring, lifeless, and and unexciting. Clearly some cost cutting going on here.

I only say this because I love BMW and its time we start calling them out rather than letting them get away with major errors like this.

You clearly weren't an owner during the E38/E39/E46 era. The 3,5,7 had the same basic interior just with more buttons as you went higher up. At least now there is some differentiation between the lower end and upper end models.

It may be beautiful and fresh but it basically a recycled CS; nothing fundamentally new here.

The headlights are a solid success for me. I love how they look so nonchalant and condescending. It really adds character to the BMW face, which the F series have made slightly boring at times. At the same time, the shape really works. I fully agree with what Human said- it builds off the A7 look, a design I'm a big, big fan of.

Perhaps the element I love most is the interior. The revised M-steering wheel is just sublime. Never before have I seen it with wood, and it really works. What I'm also noticing is something of revolution in wood in German interiors. First with the S-Class and the metallized wood, and now BMW with this beautiful, matte texture. It really reminds me of the Wraith's door panel wood, which also looks really fantastic.

The rear lights are the most questionable aspect of the design, which is just a bit disappointing, considering BMW is just so great at rear ends this past generation. Artist makes a really good point- get rid of the strip in the middle and it should look great.

@bimmerjph Those were THE days mate. I can't seem to shake it off, always to this day have to revisit the E39, E46, E53 etc. for comparison.(y)

The thing that's bothring me at the moment is actually the big rear glasshouse. It's a glasshouse for 4dr coupe.

BMW didn't make it, and it won't go into production.
