X3/X4 BMW X4 is coming...

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.

What are you seeing that I am not???

The side profile, which looks ltoo sedanish, I quite dislike it.

Front is nice.

PS: Oh I see, you didn´t see the Autobild cover.

You'e free to dislike it clearly, but the last thing I see in the side profile is a sedan.

It's growing on me rapidly, and the color is just sublime!!
This car screams for X4 M with S55 engine.

@klier Thanks mate! WOW! I like it a lot!

I don't "want", but it's not a bad design. The area circled is not working for me though. The crease just seems to come to an odd conclusion here.

^^ What about it marley??

Perhaps it's the double crease, there is a similar dipping crease on the rear door. But my eye just get's drawn here. I can see that if the crease weren't extended from the front door, then this panel would be featureless. So I'm not sure if I would prefer it that way. I just know that as it is I don't like it. Perhaps it works much better in 3D.

The only thing I can imagine is a straighter crease, I can see that they tried to be gradual with the curve down, I appreciate that. And a more gradual transition from the hard crease to the flat panel. Perhaps a dissolve where I can't really see where the crease ends?

I have to say I prefere 1er GT styling that this. I really dislike that the line interupts two times, once on front wing and once on rear door/rear quarter panel. The lines look Asian-Style and pointless, but not unsystematic as the A/B Class.

But it seems to me this a BMW X style-cue, so apparently will give the different cars slightly different styling elements, fro having a conform family, but no copy paste ala Audi.

Why is BMW this HOT! new LED´s (headlights and backlights) on the 4er concept and X4 concept and don´t put the same inproduction cars. That is really sad :(. This is like MC donalds, in the pictures the burgers are looking more delicious then when you have them on the table. :hungover:

The curved shoulder line derives from X3 - since X4 is X3-based SAC. So does the curve on the rear wheel fender - although in X4 is done in BMW-Concept-CS style: as "broken" shoulder line, and not as a separate crease placed below the main shoulder line as on X3.

The designs features are hardly new & original. The side profile is very X6-like, rear looks like 3er GT + 4-Series Coupe Concept, while the front is a combination of X3+3erGT+X5 F15.

It's hardly anything original on the X4. Very generic BMW design IMHO. Nothing revolutionary at all. A mix of already seen design features.

PS: the new LED headlight & rear light graphics as seen on the latest concepts ARE coming into production soon. Be patient.

The current X3 is one of my least favorite BMW designs. I din't recognize that line as being consistent with the X3! That must be part of what I found off putting.

It's unfortunate, this association. I would rather they borrowed more heavily from the X6, or the X1 for that matter.

Love everything, but the front. Then on the other hand it looks great in the front photo, but weird from the side.

Either way should be a winner for BMW.

WOW! I like it a lot!

Lol...I'm sure you're already at the dealership getting your order form filled out for the production model.

I like it and actually like the double crease which works for me. At the moment BMW are on a roll, their new 4 series is stunning and this model continues the fine work they are doing. (y)

Hehe, I had a feeling you guys would be talking about the lines. The LINES, look at those lines!

I think it looks really cool in a quirky way

Ops, it looks like it has the same/similar rear lights than the 4er.

I wonder if the X6 will have the same rear end than the 6er.

The lines are cohesive and make sense. Unlike that other brand (I forgot the name)

Also, the lines come straight off the Concept CS.
