Well the car is obviously not for you. And to be honest, I'd rather have a E92 and load it up with more options. However, the thought of having an open top car that can be used everyday is very tempting.Matt said:I guess im a bit skeptical because it seems like its more of a hinderance than a benefit. First of all when you fold it up its going to take up all this room in teh trunk and make that utterly useless. It doesnt look that great IMO. Its heavy. And it seems like BMW did it just because everyone else did (Mercedes and Lexus). In addition its a lot more mechanics to go wrong. I just dont see the point.

Haha agreed. Eventually, the cabs are going to get good enough that their performance will be identical to their hardtop cousins. Eventually...Osnabrueck said:For cryin' out loud Matt, the point is that you get a hardtop! It's an end in itself Matt. BMW is making this a hardtop, because people want hardtops.
I think the benefits of having a hardtop are pretty self-evident. Aren't they?
BMW did this because they're a technology-driven company, and full-sized hardtops have finally come of age.
