6 Series 6 Series M-Sport Package

The BMW 6 Series is a range of grand tourers produced by BMW since 1976. It is the successor to the E9 Coupé. The first generation BMW E24 6 Series was available solely as a two-door coupé and produced from 1976 to 1989, when it was supplanted by the larger BMW 8 Series (E31). When the 6 Series nameplate was revived in 2004 for the second generation, the BMW E63/E64 6 Series, the coupé was joined by a convertible body style. The third generation F06/F12/F13 6 Series debuted in 2011 as a coupé and convertible, and a sedan variant known as the "Gran Coupé" in 2012. When the F06/F12/F13 6 Series ended production, the "Gran Coupé"/coupé/convertible models shifted into the more upmarket BMW 8 Series (G15) nameplate. The fourth generation 6 Series, the G32 6 Series, debuted in mid-2017 and is offered only as a fastback body style to complement the BMW 5 Series (G30) sedan/wagon.

We bring you the first clear look at the 2012 6-series M-sport kit on an F13 coupe. Although covered in camouflage tape, it's easy to make out the shape and style of the various 6-series M sport parts - the front bumper, sideskirts, and rear bumper. In our opinion, the beefy new front bumper which adds to the 6-series' thin and angular front fascia gives BMW's top end coupe a much more aggressive character.

The front bumper draws some lines from the F10 5-series M-sport (notably the middle portions), but the bottom/side parts of the side air inlets appear to taper in rather than go straight down as in the F10's. Also, the front splitter fins don't appear to come to an angle as on the F10 M-sport. The sideskirts appear most similar to the F10 M-sport's. The rear is the hardest to discern in its current form, but we'll bring you more telling pics as soon as we can.

This car is so gorgeous but it should have its LED headlights and blinkers, otherwise it looks bland & dated, especially in that Titanium Silver colour (IMO).:eusa_thin

I agree, it shouldn't be hard to photoshop what this will end up looking like.

This thing is absolutely stunning. Kudos to BMW for making a beautiful 6er. I finally feel they are moving in the right direction when it comes to designs. Like Chris Bangle said, there was a shift in design and a moment of change with past designs. They are just carving it out.

Their design is perfect but I just wish they still build cars for the driver.
It's certainly not like the old days and thats the reason why I started to like BMW many years ago.

Yes sir! I agree. The ultimate driving machine. I mean, in the E46 the console was directed towards the driver. Remember?

Things have changed.

I get what you guys are saying, but I think BMW will be ok long as their everyday cars are still sportier than Mercedes', Audis, and Lexus' everyday cars. That is where they will maintain their edge IMO. The Motorsport cars on the other hand, I dunno. They're going to have to really be dynamic to maintain their edge since their engines/gearboxes and most hardware will be just like everyone else's.

Black is so much the 6er's color.

The latest BMW models all feature driver orientated cockpit.
6er is no exception.

"Driver-oriented" may mean one thing, but what I was referring to was the console slanting towards the driver, something BMWs do not do anything. Ever since the 5er came out (not the current one, but the one before) the current 3er, etc. the console in the middle have lost that "slanted" aspect.

Here is an example:

Is this going to debut at the New York show next month? Will the M5 concept be there also?

There will be simultaneous launches between Shanghai and New York for the BMW 6er Coupe as Shanghai has it's press day on the same day as New York. Given the time difference , Shanghai is first with NYIAS later in the day.
Because it occurs on the same day many are mistaking launches are specifically for NYIAS when actually they are for Shanghai.
M5 Concept and 5er New energy Concept for Shanghai only.

BMW 640d Coupe and Cabrio and M-Sport Packet will be unveiled this Summer but debut at the IAA Frankfurt in September.

Go back and re read what I wrote and pay attention. I was speaking about the E46 and the current 3er. Hence, my examples. (y)

Edit: I wrote "current BMW Models." My mistake. I actually meant the E46. That is what I was thinking. It seems BMW is returning to that driver-oriented console, then.

Damn, those LED headlights and the ablack color and the rims and...everything! looks incredible.

I wonder how agile this car will be.

Many of the final E-generation (eg. E90) models were missing the driver-oriented console but with the F-generation models BMW are bringing it back. :usa7uh: I think that was also what south was trying to point out. ;)
