Today I was driving (about an hour and half) a BMW for the first time in my life. :D It was a -91 E36 1.6i with lowered suspension and tuned exhaust. It was pretty fun.

Pro:
Fun to drive
Very good looking body style

Con:
Low interior quality (lot's of weird noises)
No RPM gauge

Definetly gets my seal of approval. :usa7uh:

So you drove the ricers favoriter:D. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. So the car doesn't have a RPM gauge?

then you ahve lost ru bmw virginity
anyway you cannot judge quality in a 18 year old car much!

luwa
some odler cars do not have rpm gauges, and ahve a hude clock in their stead
a friend of mine has a manual toyota echo and it doesn't have one too!

It's great ojis. E36 316i was the first BMW i drove, too, but it was a 1994 model... Definitely fun to drive.

PS. My 1990 Renault Clio does have an RPM gauge :D :D :D

Congrats... i have never seen an E36 without the RPM gauge...Must've been a standard option here in Holland...

Congrats:D

I too had my first experience in a BMW recently. Will remember it for sure.

Great for you to get to experience a BMW for the first time, I remember my first well (a 1999 520i touring back in '99), but just how many km the thing had clocked up?

but just how many km the thing had clocked up?
Almost 300 000km... No import.

Yes, there is no RPM gauge, just a huge analog clock. Cars in Finland rarely have lot's of options.
