It most certainly follows siut and presents itself in a much less vivid dress than its predecessor. Here's hoping for a big change with the M-sport package.

Those inner headlight units are huge!

Should this be moved to a new thread?

I'm sorry, I really don't like it. For some reason the front just seems so droopy; so much worse than the close, but different white pictures by Autobild. The projector beams are too big, and it gives the car a weird look; almost like a bad chop. Of course this is all IMO, and I hope it grows on me.

LOVE the interior, however, especially those small red accents.

Design is a total fail!

Catastrophic design combined with no new technology, why not just buy a E87 120dA LCI?

Dammm, I don´t know what to say. The front end is so terrible... I was expecting something more angular and vertical, as the latest BMW front ends. And they came up with this goofy face. Everything is just too low, the headlights have the size of the titanic and make the rest of the front tiny. The sideprofile looks fine, more dynamic than the current 1er due to the integration of the door handles on the shoulder line.

And now the rear. Well... The rear is probably the uglist one I´ve seen on a recent BMW. Why?. BMW use to nail their rear ends. But they just change the fantastic rearlights shape of the current 1er for just a square. Completly graceless rearlights.

The intior is just fine, nothing spectacular, the air vents look cheaper than the current 1er, as predicted, and generally speaking, the whole interior doesn´t make the car look as it is something of a higher level than let´s say the Golf.

The M Pack has to be something really really shocking to fix this rare and wird design.

If the design was signed by Bangle, I would 100% believe it.

Picsoubmw, t'est de quel partie de la France? Moi l'Alsace, Strasbourg.

For me this 1 Series is a total fail, and it should not have been. I am afraid for the 3 Series and thus for the next M3 F32. That latest may be the greatest fail in history of cars.

Do not exagerate. The fact Mr Bean designed this car doesn´t mean the 3er has to look bad.

Wow this is pretty damn ugly. Didn't expect it to look this bad. The chops were far better. Center stack is cheap too... Those air vents remind me of on old civic.

At least they finally put the turn signal indicators in the mirrors.

Je suis de Montbéliard, Franche-Comté ;)

Otherwise, there still hope with 2-series, from the spy pics we can say 3-series will gets differents fronts.

It is better in real life because you can see the surfaces and detail more.

Actually the new 1er dash is higher quality than the Audi A3/A4. All BMW's will get the large flat screen in the future.

But the design evolution is quite in line with what we have seen on other models, going from brave Bangle to more mainstream designs. The current 1-series is a bold car, no doubt.

It is not a problem of the surfaces but the key elemments in a car, such as the head and realights.

They are absolutely tasteless IMO. Far from the well doing BMW uses to do with other products.

There is surface treatment that highlights the outlines of the headlight unit both above and under the lighting units. These photos taken as the sun is going down does not give a full perspective to the car in real life.
