C-Class ***Yay! Another neighbour of mine gets a C-Class!!!***

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a series of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque's line-up until the W168 A-Class arrived in 1997.

Our garage neighbour next to our E320 just got a new car. A Mercedes W204 C-Class (not sure what model but the RPM counter shows it is a gasoline model (C180K or C200K most likely). :usa7uh:

The license plate also matches her initials from her previous Toyota RAV4. The inside is filled with accessories belonging to her like the rear baby seat for her little son (not in the photos).

This woman has good taste! :D

I think it is a fully loaded high end C-class, could be a C280 or C350. You can see it has the Harmon Kardon speakers and the leather stitching on the door surface.

The 1st thing I noticed in that photo was the shiny E320, looks like you have done a good car wash. The E still looks great next to the much newer C-class. How do they compare in terms of external dimensions?

I do not like it . It has not AMG Sport Package. Without Sport pack. new C is too light for me . here in Turkey a lot of C began seeing in street. especially C200 and C 220 CDI . I hope in Europe we will see more power C but until now I am dissapointed  . I wait C 320 CDI C 300 / C 350 but nothing . Probably German Made a Car and Americans drive it :t-crazy2:

i'm unfamiliar with the standard equipment in your market.. just wanted to add that there's bixenon headlights plus sunroof and already-mentioned Harmon Kardon speakers.. in Australia, that'd constitute a "Vision package"

she also seemed to hav added the COMMAND APS, rear blinds, (heated seats standard there?), and also a more sophisticated a/c system (2 buttons on each of the 2 round dials, vs 1 each on the ones in Aust... maybe that's just another difference in standard features)

i also just want to say i'm surprised that the steering wheel turned 180 degrees only constitutes such a small angle to the tyres on the outside :D and in comparing the e and c, i must say i'm surprised the new c looks as wide as the e, if not wider

Wouldn't the exhausts - one either side - make it a V6 ?

Stewart.

Good eye! :usa7uh:

I totally didn't notice that. Guess she ain't as cheap as I thought she was! :D

C230, C280 or C350? Guess I need to ask her. :eusa_thin

Thanks. The E-Class was actually a bit dirty because it was raining a few hours ago. A good thing it's not that noticeable in the photos. Size-wise the E-Class is definitely longer and sleeker. The C-Class appears to be wider (appears, appears...) and a little more "porky". ;)

I believe Bixenon's are standard on the Avantgarde trim models like this one. This has typically been the case with this trim level all across the MB lineup. Sunroof is always optional because not many people, like me for instance, want it. :usa7uh:

Man, you guys are better at this than me! :D

Could be also a C 320 CDI!! :D Saw one today, and it also has this exhaust system…

ohh ic.. well in Australia, bi-xenon headlights are an option on all trim levels (and i think optional on the top-end 6 cylinders too)

i could see that u wouldn't want the sunroof with the m3's carbonfibre roof.. but y not otherwise? i'd luv the panaromic sunroof :D

I think in some markets Xenon's are optional, even in the US (correct me if I am wrong, US members). :usa7uh:

Nah, no panoramic roof for me. I am one of those guys that wants a solid roof over my head. :D
