A very interesting report from Deutsche Welle about the German auto industry's slow reaction to the EV revolution.

History has shown that the German automobile industry has often been "late to the party"...before becoming "the life of the party". Of course, it is on the threshold of a major upheaval, as is the automotive industry in general. Significant collaborations, domestic as well as global, and perhaps mergers will be of essence. From my vantage point, I see VAG as being the best prepared German company. Daimler-Benz and BMW will be interesting to watch over the next few years. The future of subsidiaries of manufacturers incorporated in the U.S. and France (Ford and Opel respectively) is somewhat nebulous. Fords' recently forged collaboration with VAG and PSAs' relative strength are certainly constructive.

Why do reporters keep on reporting that Norway is banning ICE cars by 2025, this is not correct, it was a proposal but hasn’t gone any further than that.

What I found slightly ironic was the video shot in Bergen showed the majority of electric vehicles on the streets were German.

The question you should be asking is will the Anti-German automotive industry protesters cats survive?

Apparently there are all kinds of protest groups going to storm and disrupt press conferences at the IAA.

DW is the German state's media and they have always been very biased. I'm sure they were intentionally looking to capture mainly German cars
