CLS Who's driven the CLS?

The Mercedes-Benz CLS (initially called the CLS-Class) is a series of executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from December 2003 to August 2023. The original model was a four-door sedan based on the Mercedes E-Class platform, marketed as a four door coupé. An estate (shooting brake) model was later added to the model range with the second generation CLS.

I've driven the car twice, but for whatever reason I don't remember much from either drive, so weird. I've been invited to drive the new S500 in November, I'll be sure to drive the CLS agian... hopefully they'll be an AMG version around? Anyways, anyone have any experiences to share?

Drove a CLS500 with AMG kit. Comparing it to the E class it had better quallity, better comfort, refinement and better handling and much much better looks :usa7uh:

Driven a CLS 500 with AMG package, but I cant really judge since its my first MB to drive.

Yep, but I think the E-Class looks pretty good too. Both the CLS and E-Class are hotties IMO. :usa7uh:

Yea 2 hotties, but the E needs a better handling like the CLS...
And less problems!!!!!!! :t-banghea

US versions are softened up for US road conditions and the target market. Here in Europe, the E-Class has sharper steering, especially Avantgarde models (like my family's).

CLS 350 and 500. Great tranny, quality not as it appears in pics.

I had a thread on GCF

Do you still have the link?

I think the CLS interior is pretty HQ. In my experience, most people criticize the "black plastic" which MB uses in some of its interiors. The same plastic, if it were "silver" colored, would look more HQ, just like in Lexuses.
