Uhhh. Last time I checked they were still using Automatics....But it would be pretty tight if they did!

That's right, it kinda has that stretchy feel to it....Matt said:I drove a transmission once. I dont think I was able to get very far
I did however drive a Cooper with CVT and found it a little annoying. It felt like a rubber band...
I'd be happy if they did.Matt said:Uhhh. Last time I checked they were still using Automatics....But it would be pretty tight if they did!

The Veyron doesn't have DSG. The system in the Bugatti is made by Ricardo while the DSG systems in VWs and Audis is made by Borg Warner.Imhotep Evil said:Actually the first dual clutch was used by Porsche in the 1980s, I think it was on the 956 or 962.
Also acording to wikipedia, the twin clutch gearbox was invented before WW II by Andolphe Kégresse.
Also, the DSG is only faster than the SMG depending on the engine.
On the Golf GTI, the DSG shifts gears in just 8 milliseconds
But on the Veyron it takes 125 milliseconds, as oposed to 65 milliseconds for the SMG III on the M5/M6.
