The Irony here is this is posted in the internal combustion thread.
Image how much faster Loeb would have been in the same car, Dumas is an ok driver but on a tarmac rally stage up a hill my money's on Loeb getting it done all day long!!
You might say it made a clean sweep. It did good for a dishwasher.

I'm not convinced he'd be that much faster, if it all. He's a talented driver on loose surfaces, but PPIHC is now all tarmac, and the car is more akin to a prototype. Loebs skill (and fame) is in managing at the limit with compromised mechanical grip, it's a different skill set. Getting to the point where you have to manage compromised mechanical grip in a car like this on a course like this means you're already 'sub-optimal'.
FWIW, I haven't seen the onboard of the whole run yet... but from what I have seen, I'd be surprised if Dumas couldn't take a good chunk of time off this run anyway.
Loeb is a tarmac specialist who learned how drive on gravel, he's also won more tarmac stages than anyone else in the WRC.The 208 T16 ran the record on an all tarmac Pike Peak.
