Powered by the same 2.0-liter four cylinder TSI from the Scirocco, the GTI Concept got the benefit of 207 hp. This is an increase of over 10 hp than the MkV GTI. This engine also makes a more fuel efficient and cleaner GTI, despite its 148 mph top speed. The GTI Concept had such features as Adaptive Chassis control, giving driver-adjustable electronically controlled dampeners, the XDS limited slip differential, and electronic stabilisation.

Production of the Golf GTI is scheduled to begin this Spring. With a little luck, the Volkswagen Golf GTI mk VI will appear at the Geneva Auto Show in March.

Definitely, also for the standard Golf VI! Would like to drive the a Golf VI diesel…but only with Xenon and Highline!

Well the standard production version doesn't have these headlights but if you order the GTi with Bi-Xenon headlights as ree said, then they look like this

The red one is officially the production version but I'm not sure about those WCF photos of the blue car. Looks like the blue one is just the same concept GTI that was at the stage when they introduced it.

Yep! Xenon lights will be available from summer 2009! I can't understand, why they are not available since day one of the Golf VI! One of the most important safety feature…

Pity those hideous, MkV rims remain... I mean how thick, you're trying market this as an all-new GTI and you make a decision to hang on to one of the most obvious identifiers of the outgoing car. A proper five spoke design would've been so much more appropriate. It's the one and only thing that just annoys me no end about the MkVI GTI.

I'd provbably get the Scirocco too. It really looks sleek in real life, especially compared to the Golf VI.
