It's mainly a RAV4 , CRV ect. competitor. X3 has a much improved interior and exterior after the facelift but it's also got a higher price than the Tiguan.

Normally the guys and females at the dealers are absolutely friendly and they are okay with it, when people come and take some pictures...it's some kind of marketing for them, too!!!

Looks SO old to me already.. the olmost flat hood reminds me of the old 80's from Audi.. dam'n.. Vw really can't make any cars unlike the Beetle and golf, and newst passat. those look good. But best car to drive is from Vw is Touran!

I can't find a single piece on the car I like..

The one in the photo is "Track & Field".

You can say what you think , i have no problem, i didn't bought one yet , i might change my mind.

Yannis - Thanks to SPORT and STYLE I have a father-in-law who want a new SUV not X5 size or Q7 but RA4 and CRV.. He was very ready to order the new Tiguan.. but after I did show he some photo's of the new Q5 and talking about Audi quality, feel and driving dynamics.. he could simply not eaven think about order the "Tiggu"..

So the first day the Q5 is ready to be ordered I will make the call and personalise his car..
Of course I will post it here and share with you..
But Yannis you an Audi man.. !! I know I can't talk to you about how much greater the Q5 will be than the Tiggu cause you know twice as much as me about both cars.. but HEY!

The front is suffering from the Cayenne syndrome, it's basically missing a lower front bumper. Without it the front end looks very thin and narrow, making the whole car looks missproportioned. The cladding needs to be painted as well.

The Sport & Style edition is a must. VW failed just like Porsche failed with the pre-facelifted non-Trubo versions of the Cayenne.

Further more VW need to step up their design game. Their cars are starting to look very plain and generic. Hyundai Santa Fe looks much more exciting.

You are right. The Q5 won't be even comparable to Tiguan. Audi quality , attention to detail and quattro AWD are one of a kind.

Problem is BMW X3 costs here in Greece around 40k euro and Q5 is estimated to have around the same price and i can only spend around 30k euro for my new car.

I 'm starting to think about keeping the A4 for a couple more years and save the money to buy the Q5 then.

The Track & Field looks really a bit boring and old, but in my opinion with a little bit of extras the Tiguan can really be a "Lifestyle" car. And it definitely looks good in dark colours! Silver is the wrong colour for this car!

If all the cars will be purchased with the "same" engine this would be the result:

Yes Vw is the cheapest but my gosh would you look at it..
It's awful! and yes 60 thousand is a difference.. when a normal person earn 20 thousand in a month.. but then I would save .. not buy the tiggu..

But ask for a good price!
I wish Audi would give you a Q5 for 30K!

Nah, the VW dealership is so uptight here. All the people who work there are idiots. I politely asked if I could take some shots of the Tiguan, since some "friends in America" want to see some REAL LIFE pictures of it. They didn't allow it and basically told me to go "F myself".

Exactly, this is great marketing for them, but instead they act like total dumbasses.

I agree with many of you that this version here looks terribly bland. The Tiguan in the showroom though has chrome (or chrome imitating plastic) on the outside and looks more upscale. I wanted to photograph it through the window but they had the showroom lights off and you couldn't see anything.
