Guys, this is a tough choice for me. Last Thursday a friend of mine recieved his X6 ! it was a pleasant and sad surprise since he ordered his later than mine. Anyways it was a silver with black interior. Now the question is: shall I wait for the 4.4TT or get the 3.0TT and upgrade it with Vishnu ? The problem is the 3.0TTs will be delivered in late April or or beginning of May while still no word about the 4.4TT .. please help :D

I personally would wait for the V8 unless you need the car NOW. The V8 will sound better and make more power stock. And you know there will be similiar kinds of ECU tuning that will push this car even higher. While the 6 cylinder is a masterpiece, the sound of a V8 and all that potential power does it for me.

oh man, im dying to read a proper USER REVIEW of the x6 twin turbo petrol. SO PLEASE MASERATI, do ask your friend for his thoughts and say a few words here, much appreciated!

Sure will do sir. Well the good news is that the owner is not only a friend, he is also a co-worker. I hesitated at for first to ask him for a spin and I was there when the car was delivered. Things i noticed inside the cabin, the car is typically an X5 at the front with only the roofline lower. At the back I could sit comfortably although am a 180 cm person. The car sounded nice and well isolated at low speeds with a hint of tyre noise due to 20" rims and wide tyres. Next week the guy will be on training. The week after I ll try to drive the car for few miles. That will help me decide better.

Maserati, If you really want the TT V8 I would wait.I caught a couple of short vids this past Friday of a VR TTV8 making some high speed runs at the Performance Center. It sounded like a racecar!! Catching the V8 X6 at full song on the PC track has been like spotting the Lock Ness Monster. Not many sightings!!! The problem w/ the vids is HORRIBLE wind noise. The wind has been blowing around here at 25MPH or more for the last couple of wks.I'm going to try and edit the wind noise out.The exhaust note is "NASCAR "like.Deep loud V8 roar. The exhaust note,to me,sounds louder and deeper than the V8 X5.You will not mistake the 35i for the 50i based on the exhaust note.I'm trying to figure out a fix for the wind noise. It's always going to be a problem anywhere around the Performance Center,it's very open like an airport.Thanks. PalBay

Thanks Palbay. I saw that video and i guess this sort of experiences better be real and really hard to transfer into video. To me the V8TT is a must but the waiting isn't my only problem. By the time the V8TT reaches here, the new 7er will be launched also which affect my current car resale value. I thought of selling the car now and buy a temporary car till my new car arrives but that didn't work for many reasons. Anyway we''ll see how it goes. My lady is begging me to wait for V8TT also :D

Though we havent had any reviews on the N64 im pretty confident that it will be an astonishing engine. I would suggest that you wait and take the X6 with the N64. Just imgagine what kind of power gains Vishnu will eventually have for the N64!?

On another note, I wasnt aware that Vishnu was available in the UAE?

Vishnu is not officially available in UAE but still we can order online Plus installation is pretty easy and straight forward. I know deep inside I would regret buying the 3.0TT and not waiting for the 4.4TT so I guess I'll wait. Thanks guys for giving me a clearer idea of what to do.

No brainer the V8TT of course:usa7uh:,what's the estimated delivery time btw?

No word yet Tarek. The earliest I heard is August.
