Valentine's day!

Well money isn't the only thing that can get you a good looking girl when the guy isn't good looking, looks alone aren't as important to a lot of women as they are to guys (although it's still a big deal).

I just got back from buying some flowers, and I'm going to go to dinner later this week and get a single rose put on the table for when we get there. We're celebrating late because of schedule issues and because the restaurants are a mad house on the very day. I'm not in love though, and I never have been. I don't know what love feels like really. Valentine's Day is a lame holiday that is all commercialized just like Christmas is. I know that not everyone shares this view (especially women), so for tomorrow I decided I would do something out of the ordinary anyway.

LOL, I thought I was the only one watching that show around here Luw. I think it's one of the best TV shows in recent years, keeps me on the edge and I can never get enough of it. Are you watching the old season or the new one? I thought the new season starts March 20th? Can't wait for it to start

I'm with you guys...as I said earlier...I already spent my day on Sunday and pissed off my girl...so I'll be watching some TV as well. Unlike you guys, I won't be watching none of those shows. By the time I come home tomorrow it will be around 11pm, so I'm going to watch Family Guy while drinking either some Stella Artois or some Crown Royal.

By the way...it's 8:06pm...I'm still at school...

J/k. I'm kinda sick(fever n stuff), so I can't go anywhere. And my gf moved to the other side of Sweden a few weeks ago so I'm kinda lonely right now.

actually, it's true. Many people tell this. At 11.00pm i phoned her, without revealing my phone number, placed the phone next to a speaker and put on some very romantic music. when the song finished, i closed the phone. just after that (i mean rapidly) she called me and she said "Giannis, was that you!?" i told her yes. she invited me to her home, but i have a TERRIBLE headache. God, why does my head need to be in pain now? can't instead of now, be all the following week???

I also bought her roses. Many roses. REALLY MANY roses. And a nice necklace. And a Lacta chocolate, that i had writen "Happy V-day" on...

Hmm, it's nice to be romantic like that, if it's what you both like.

I'm with Artist and Matt - my gf and I didn't do anything in particular, just said "Happy Valentine's Day", more or less. Big deal, what's so special about that day? You have 364 other 'normal' days to celebrate being together (less if you count Christmas, birthday etc.). Be nice any other day, I always say that you shouldn't need a reason to treat each other well. Plus, saves being ripped off for roses and restaurants and chocolates and things, when you could just do exactly the same thing a week before or after, more cheaply. Ok now call me cheap if you like

Anyhow, sort of as a commemoration of sorts, on the night before, we both went out and bought some food; salmon steak, prawn skewers, salad, potato.. and I cooked up the salmon and that's that. Was enjoyable enough in itself.

PS: ..but the worst would be where one of you wants to make Valentine's Day special, and the other just wants to make it only as special as every other day..

Snake, you got some great points in your post. I'm a typical boy. Very few days are special to me, but this doesn't go with my gf, who want to make every day special. But i don't want any fights, so when it comes to Feb's 14, i join her side, and do her favour so that she is very happy.
