I went out to Hoover Dam this morning and shot some pics of the new bridge. It is scheduled now for completion in September and the official opening will be in December. There will be a walking lane and the pictures from the bridge of the dam should be great stuff. The bridge is 1300 feet over the Colorado River on the downside of the dam. It will be the longest concrete arch supported bridge in the world when completed. The size is unbelievable when standing under it. Angles are limited to get a complete view.
The time was about 9:30AM or so and the sun was low and bright, creating deep shadow and highlight areas. The first 4 images are HDR (3 exposures).
