It’s been known since the outset that the Bugatti Veyron would be limited to just 300 units, and from its early days there has been talk about a special run-out model. Last month reports emerged claiming that Bugatti is already working on a Veyron successor, however a leaked memo alleged to be an official document suggests that before its arrival there will be a special edition of the Veyron simply called the ‘GT’.

IMO this is pointless version of the car.The Veyron already fast enough and no one drives it above 300km/h anyway so i don't see the point of this power upgrade, just focus on the GS.

As if the car wasn't fast enough already.

It's good that Bugatti will be offering an upgrade for the existing Veyrons since their resale value would fall if VAG unleash an ever more powerful car. It will be interesting to see what the modifications are. What impress me is the gearbox, I had no idea it could handle that much torque.

An upgrade will be as an option for every veyron. I heard the engine can produce up to more than 1500 HP but the gearbox cant handle it.

Everything comes at a price, that's why MB doesn't use similar one in the 65 cars coz it'll raise the price dramatically but that is not an issue with the Veyron of course:D

its a heavily modified DSG gearbox and not the same you find in VW/Audi.

Interesting. I guess the Blue/Green movement is irrelevant at Boogatee. I'll take the "slower" GS version thank you.

I know, but I thought that current torque figure for the Veyron was close to the limit of the gearbox but apparently it can handle much more than 1100Nm. Very impressive.
