Production of the Trion SuperCars 'Nemesis', a hypercar with a claimed 2000bhp, is due to begin in January 2016.

The Nemesis features a twin-turbocharged 9.0-litre V8 engine and is reputed to have a top speed in excess of 270mph, as well as being capable of dispatching the 0-62mph sprint in just 2.8sec.

Such speeds would allow the Nemesis to beat rivals including the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the Koenigsegg One:1, the latter of which has 1322bhp available and a top speed of 273mph.

Underpinning the Nemesis is a carbonfibre monocoque and a pushrod-based suspension system. Many of the body panels are formed from carbonfibre as well, to reduce weight, while active aerodynamics are used to improve the car's handling capabilities.

Four-wheel drive and an eight-speed sequential manual transmission are standard, while braking power is provided by carbon-ceramic disc brakes, six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers.

The Nemesis features an aerodynamic shape which its makers describe as being "flawless from the front growl to the captivating tail configuration". At the rear, the Nemesis adopts the same wide-arched style as theMcLaren P1.

Inside, the Nemesis features a digital dashboard and internet connectivity. It's claimed to offer comfortable seating for those up to 6'4" tall, as well as a storage compartment that can accommodate golf clubs. The car also has a 'Predator Mode', which modifies its height, suspension settings, exhaust noise and rev limit as well as its interior lighting.

Trion SuperCars describes itself as a manufacturer of "advanced ultra-luxury, high-performance line of vehicles designed around the driver". The American-based startup company says the Nemesis is currently in the earliest stages of development, but that the first prototype models will be built in February 2015, by California-based coachbuilding company N2A motors.

A run of 50 cars is mooted, with each costing upwards of $1 million – approximately £620,000. Trion says that it "intends to challenge European dominance of the prestigious exotic supercar category."

Similar start-up operations are providing increased competition in the hypercar market. The Keating Bolt was unveiled last year with mention of a 340mph top speed, while earlier this year Arash unveiled its AF8, although that car was reputed to reach a much more likely 200mph.

To be faster than the Koenigsegg One:1
American supercar producer Trion SuperCars has released additional information and new pictures for its first model – the Nemesis.

Production of the vehicle is scheduled to start in January 2016, while first prototypes will be built in February 2015. The Nemesis uses a carbon fiber monocoque and a pushrod-based suspension system. Many of the body details are also made from the same lightweight material and the company has also put active aerodynamics.

As reported before, the power is provided by a 9.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with around 2,000 bhp (1,491 kW). With 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in just 2.8 seconds and maximum speed of more than 450 km/h (280 mph), on paper the Nemesis should be faster than the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the Koenigsegg One:1.

The V8 unit is mated to an eight-speed sequential manual transmission and four-wheel drive. The standard equipment also includes carbon-ceramic disc brakes with six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers.

Inside the cabin, there is a fully digital dashboard with internet connectivity. The vehicle also has a Predator Mode that provides higher throttle responsiveness and modifies the suspension settings, the exhaust noise and the rev limit.

The American-based startup company says a run of 50 examples is planned with prices starting at around 786,000 EUR (620,000 GBP). Triton explains it “intends to challenge European dominance of the prestigious exotic supercar category”.

They should call it quits. The Veyron wasn't built by two petrol heads in a garage. It was created b a science in laboratories that uses the most sophisticated materials and Quality Control procedures, to not just achieve 1000hp, but making that power output accessible and reliable.

You can beat the Veyron on peak power stated in a spec sheet but not in the delivery of it IRL.
