Passed by the local Toyota/Lexus dealership today as I was walking my dog and I discovered this little "junkyard" in the back of their dealer. With the exception of that 1970s Celica, all cars look in running condition but there are signs of damage or abuse on them, hence the "junkyard" in my title.
I actually like the two Celicas and the Crown sedan. These cars are from the days when Toyotas had something called style - even if the Crown was a semi-rip-off of 1970s American landyachts in smaller form. My dad had a Toyota Crown like this in Guam in the late 1970s but in station wagon form.
Check out this Celica. Was it fished out from a swamp or something? This thing is hot, but the condition is piss poor!
1980s Toyota Celica
Toyota Crown Super Saloon 2.8. These were sold in Germany but they weren't very popular despite their affordable price tag. The same fate awaited its Japanese rival in Germany, the Nissan Laurel.
New Toyota Landcruiser sure looks good. Sucks that there are no smaller engines available for it though.
