Videos The Official DRIVE Thread

LaArtist

Wunderkind of Wheels
I just thought ile go ahead and make an official thread on the DRIVE network.
Since they put up some amazing videos.
Some are even so amazing like CH on cars, they need to be posted in a dedicated thread.
So please continue with that.
But this is more for the hidden gem's of DRIVE.

So let's kick it off with this piece on Pirelli.

Amazingly interesting:)

PS
Seems like that short video of the Zonda and Huayra is all we are getting, and that is effed up by drive standards, i do not expect them to play the stupid games the rest of the auto journalist industry do..

The mechanical grip of the Mclaren is astonishing. While the Porsche leap off the line, it barely got ahead by a half car length before the Mclaren gained on it. That accounts for a lot given that few cars can keep up with a four wheel drive 911 off the line up to 100km/h.

Porsche for me all day.. i can't stand that Mclaren... i hate it with a passion.

What do you recent about it? The reliability and quality issues appear to have been deal with, and although it a tad bit clinical in its appearance it looks cool on the roads.

^it has one of the most boring exteriors and interiors ever seen on a supercar from an established brand..
It is to technical in its approach, i don't like the drive train with the turbo lag..

Not that ive driven one, but ive seen it irl many times..it evokes no emotion at all..its a cold piece of metal.

True. It is a very science and rational driven car. Mclaren should probably have poached the designer of the Audi R8 who did a phenomenal job penning a neutral design that yet manages to move your heart, and has aged well.

^the R8 is a modern classic in my book..

Mclaren needs to add some emotion somehow, i don't know how you do it.. but its like creating magic out of nothing.
Ferrari knows it like no other.. i wonder if the P1 will evoke more emotion.
It is certainly a more dramatic and eye catching design compared to the 12C, but thats not enough..it has other competition like the very emotional LAFerrari, and the all business looking 918.

The P1 doesn't do it for me. It resembles the types of hyper cars you see in racing games that haven't been able to license real manufacturers.

^ same here..its just not right.. and inside is to spartan..

Still interested to see some tests of it, and see what it can do..maybe some emotions will come to surface
